@@Rico.Suavee even Mayweather changed guards while dealing with pressure fighter. And the fact that your don't have good reflexes but didn't get rid of it isn't a good thing. Also you tried to bait by dropping your guard and got hit super often. Don't bait if you have no clue how he's gonna come back or how you're gonna react. Plus baiting is pro level techniques. Props for showing this though you're better than a pure beginner

Best thing you can do if you spar this guy again is get better at lateral movement, his whole plan is to get you to the ropes and force you to shell up keep circling land a shot or two circle out and reset, (avoid prolonged exchanges) also if you improve your feignting game as well you'll keep him guessing more and he won't be as confident bull rushing you. I'm a kick boxer so I don't know as much about boxing but I hope this helps.

The minute you let yourself be cornered into the corners or ropes when against an aggressive opponent, especially an infighter, its an auto loss. Try to stay on his outside and keep jabbing. You can create false openings or use feints to lure him into throwing a fast combo, which is the exact time you throw a heavy counter. Keep repeating this and he'll fall. Of course, you need to build up your stamina enough to do this. You can also play mind games on your opponent with a passive aggressive style, making him impatient. Its been a while since I've been in the ring but from my experience with these kinda boxers, this is what I would do.
@Rico.Suavee
@Rico.Suavee Год назад

@AVIT4YOU

Sparring with a "pressure fighter" with helmet is really simple: every punch you receive, you give it two back. The pressure fighter looses immediately the "pressure mood". No one fight in that way until the opponent is miles away from your level. Unfortunately the "orange" guy is not at the same level and state of mind and is not moving around. Looking that sparring session is like seeing a moving boxing bag.

Great session!!! I would definitely work angles with a fighter like this, he also has alot of “shows” or “tendencies” I might add. Before he comes forward, starting at the beginning of the video, he would level change, bounce 2-3 times on his off foot and then come forward. Right before she throws his jab, his protective hand drops, and his chin shows. You can catch that jab, straight right, roll and catch him from an angle with a check hook, or even better 2 jab followed by a straight. With guys like this, you have to set that expectation that nothing is free, space included. He established his line from the get go, used ropes and corners to his advantage. Cut the ring off, work your angles, see his tendencies and make him adjust. Love it brother. Keep it up

@@Rico.Suavee it’s great to see you challenge yourself early. Trust me I had my a** whooped in that ring MANY a days. On a good day I walked around about 185, my roommate ass a golden glove heavyweight. We had a disagreement about rent one month and settled it in a sparring session. Well, for about 3 rounds I was good. Inside, quick out move. He timed me for 2 entire rounds- at the end of that 3rd, BOW. I never saw that left hook coming. Lol. It humbles you as a man, you manage your anger differently. Keep pushing yourself. A bad day in the ring, is a good lesson life wise.

Great fight. I am 6 ft tall guy and fought with a much shorter aggressive fighter yesterday. He devastated me and beat me to the ground. I see there is one common pattern with such aggressive fighters - they always come at you and dont stop. What i learned yesterday was First - keep him at distance, dont allow him to close the range and Second - jab more and move and if he tries to close the range then clinge on him that will tire him up.

Hey thanks! Would you like videos of me reviewing gear I’ve used? I’ve used quite a bunch already Anyway Twins head gear is pretty light weight not the lightest but it’s really durable with quality leather, I would rate it a solid 8 / 10, its not the best for headmovement as it can be a little stiff on the neck and chin area but for protection and shock absorption I think it does really good 😊as for the field of vision not really as long as you get the right size and fit!

All work that’s done in sparring that’s controlled is good work people criticize your Philly shell but it’s sparring your supposed to learn new things and it’s not to beat your opponent blind and use all your training it’s to sharpen your training and learn new things and gain new weapons to your arsenal all I can say is keep your elbow tucked and try to tuck your chin in your shoulder it’s too out there your supposed to be a shell and work on head feints and foot feints sudden small steps can do a lot it’s a game of inches after all all work that’s done to learn and not hurt is good work keep uploading I will keep watching 👍
