£2.50 GBP over the LRR does seem pretty attractive when you mentioned it so I decided to check it out for myself. Turns out they're changing $53 AUD over the LRR for a total of $185 AUD. I got excited for a moment.

meanwhile in australia it is the same price as a sodding knight so 185 aud or 108.46 pounds. gw australia's pricing is horrible for this

Good video! I haven't started building my Spartan ywt but I find myself liking the kit, someone put a lot of thought into it. I might try initially building it tracks-off though to make my life a bit easier. I'll also likely magnetize things. I really hope that GW follows through with the dreadnoughts' trend of selling sprues separately and starts selling the vehicle accessory sprues (old and new) and the two HH sponsons sprues separately. To me, releasing the Typhon and maybe Cerberus in plastic seems like the obvious play. The new kit would have to replace the top and front of the Spartan, all not coincidntally located on the 'Spartan F' sprue, with a new sprue and replace the 'Landraider L' sprue with the sponson sprue also found in the Sicaran, Kratos and (probably) Predator kits. For the Proteus, the 'Spartan F' and 'LandRaider E' sprues will likely get replaced. Is it a coincidence that the hull weapons and their drum (part 8) are all on the 'Landraider C' track sprue? I think not. On the subject of Land Raiders, one thing I would really love to see released separately is a conversion sprue allowing you to fit a Proteus with the weapons loadout of a Crusader, Redeemer, Prometheus and possibly Helios. I think that quite a few people, especially 40K players, would like the old school looks of the Proteus in this role and the Prometheus and Helios have been out of production for years. The sponsons from this conversion kit would of course also fit the Spartan, but would a Spartan with two gravis heavy bolter batteries and a twin linked heavy bolter be any good on the table top? Now if only Forge World would bring back the Land Raider doors and introduce Mark 2,3,4 and mayby Mark 5 vehicle crews and (separately sold) Rapier gunners.

I'm thinking about getting one of these for 40k. My Warlord is an Iron Warrior of the old school thinking, terminator lord with terminators. And this is maybe the best way to increase their mobility. Sure, you can teleport terminators, but you have to pay an extra command point for your warlord to do it too. And since I was gonna get a vindicator or two anyway, may as well have the laser destroyers on the transport. T8 worries me, since the newest chaos land raider is T9, but there's room enough to add the warpamith who can pop out and keep it repaired. It's a big investment, but it might just actually perform well. I guess we'll see. It's gonna look amazing!

I'm pretty sure the resin Rhino doors will be coming back. If HH keeps selling as well as it is, they might just do it.

Since it has tracks that goes all around its body i wonder if a spartan can still roll if completly overturned

I don't understand much English, but the front lascanons come in the box or was it a modification with parts from another box?

And how did you find the build time/ease compared to the Landraider Crusader? Just built one up and was reasonably painless!

In ww1 when tanls were first invented these sort tabks were also envisioned and called female tanks Male tank equils has a nabal cannon and optional sponsons Female tank no cannon but has sponsons and other anti infantry gear

i hope they dont bring out the achilles in plastic...would tank the price of my one ..... Not that i actually care because it will give vastly more people access ....just slightly bitter about the work put in to get a resin one done lol

omg how small is a mastodon for 500€ the spartan is 100€ and nearly as big. Games Workshop man wtf. NO.

You probably know better than I do the nature of these models, so I'm not going to question that, but I think it's BS when they said that they couldn't make one complete side section. It's plastic ffs. They can mould plastic into any shape that they like. 3D printers are already manufacturing these parts in a single solid piece of plastic. The reason why GW DON'T do it, is because they're hoping that you will rush out and buy a pot of their glue, which they can make another £10 on, knowing full well that you'll probably need 2 or 3 pots of glue to finish that one model. So, if you do buy their glue, given how ridiculously expensive GW glue is, and it's the glue that GW recommend, probably because it's got their logo on it, when it doesn't do anything any differently than any other glue, then they are already up £10 per pot that they sell, ON TOP of the price it cost you to buy their model.
