Chief in one of the newer books healing factor seems to have been greatly improved from previous injuries.

The generation that finally lived up to the ideas of the Orions. To take the best and brightest of the military, and give them powers beyond normal humans. Though the armor is doing a lot more lifting than in the 2's. The 3's volunteered.... as war orphans younger than 10. "Do you want to see the aliens who hurt your mommy and daddy get hurt back?" There were also some 3.5's in a novel covered by Halo Canon. Basically kids in a war zone were battle tested by circumstance and ended up being a major help to a Spartan. Later when they were helping him on another op in the area, some forerunner artefact did a funny with the kids' biology, annnnnnd they needed drastic alterations to survive. At least it sounded like they were going to be bridging the 3's and 4's. I think there was one person who was still combat capable after the first experimental S4 augmentations. The subject was unfortunately hyper aggressive to anything that moved/breathed. So failures and a catastrophic almost success. Well, anime characters who move like that are powerful, and that kind of high mobility is just awesome. Got to love the speculative science rabbit holes. Cybernetic enhancements requires the Deus Ex Human Revolution footage in all its yellow filtered glory. I knew living beings had low efficiency, but 4% oxygen intake is news to me. Then there's weird evolution like the pistol and machine gun shrimp, or the spitting fish whose ability to learn through observation is akin to some rando watching watching Michael Jordan make 3 baskets, then copy his technique to a T. 26:47 Cerberus had one main goal. And that was one of the only times they accomplished something that met their overall mission statement in the long run. How risky did it have to be at the time for Halsey and her team to shoot it down? I feel the reduction of liquid in solid waste disposal might prove... unpleasant. And yes, if this cybernetic augment fails, then they are going to be having a horrific time. They chipped the trans/post human supersoldiers. They want the war crimes in ENEMY territory. If a Spartan IV does a war crime type thing without orders on a UNSC civvy, THAT is something that might get handlers to pay attention. This is the the initial experimental oopsy I've mentioned. I'd liken the difference in augmentation to possibly be with the 2 being a bowie knife or K-bar, a 3 a survival knife, and a 4 a multitool. Let's not get too post human fantasy there, 00. For starters, imagine Floridaman made a lesser 3. You should read Schlock Mercenary. There's some examination of trans"human"ism. So while there are interesting options raised by augmentation, mass availability of human reengineering means that ultimately, society will be reengineered, regardless of who wants that latter part. One of the many possibilities that could come about is that of trying to engineer people into societally dictated roles. Laborer, artisan, technician, warrior, leader, entertainment, middle manager, clerk etc. Post/transhumanism is quite the Pandora's Box.

We don't know the exact number of IV's but I'm pretty sure that there still have been more III's. Half decent chance there still are more of them than IV's actually.

A Spartan 2 in mark 6 would beat a Spartan 4 in gen 2 one of the factors is their strength and speed multiplier of the armors Chief is actually nerfed in his fight with Locke because the difference in performance of the armors Spartan 2 armor functions kinda like terminator armor makes you a tank while Spartan gen 2 is more regular astartes meaning you can customize it for specific missions
@kira68200
@kira68200 Год назад
I would they mastechief and the Spartan II are more like Costodes than Astartes, true unstopable behemoth of war but to difficult and costly to mass produced, a true one man army, not a soldier but yeah the armor Mjolnir Mark VI is basicaly a terminator armor, while wearing it you're just a fuking walking tank while the GEN2 versions are more power armor, less resistant and protective but lighter, more agile and easier to wear

The idea behind the Spartans is the eventually everyone will be Spartans, but when we need something more than Spartans we will make Olympians and when everyone is an Olympian we will make Titans and when everyone is a Titan we will make something better and go on and on Ad Infinitum until humanity has reached is evolutionary peak

@@bthsr7113 This is basically the premise behind the Primarchs and Space Marines in WH40K. The Emperor planned too have humanity as a whole one day ascend too his godlike evolutionary perfection before eventually surpassing it. At least according too TTS

Spartan 3 augmentation official something you want your commissary is your sisters of battle and your inquisitors to have could you imagine the effectiveness play sister of battle would have if she was able to wear a full carapace with her power armor

Dude can you plz react to rvb. Also what the 4s lack in quality they make up for in quantity. There are a handful of 2s maybe a few dozen 3s. But there are potentially hundreds if not thousands of 4s. And yeah designer sports cars with all the constant tune ups and repair work that goes with them.

Fun fact Napoleon Bonaparte was 5ft 6in tall. In the modern Imperial system. Or 1.6 meters or 67.2 inches. Meaning he wasn't short for his time. The fact is media of the time bashing him and his reign made him shorter than he was in reality. He wasn't tall by any stretch of the imagination. But he wasn't a midget.

The joke that Spartan 4 suck is very exaggerated. True they are inferior to the 2s and 3s biologically speaking, but with greater quantity and similar if not better gears, they can keep up just fine. Beside at the end of the day, all that matters is that they hit their shots. Being in melee range shouldn't be the standard for measuring the Spartan anyway, plus the 4s can still keep up with Elites which is all that mattered.
@bthsr7113
@bthsr7113 Год назад
Agreed. The 4's are admittedly more fallible, but that's because they're not indoctrinated children tricked or forced into serving. But this just makes them more human, and blindly loyal jack boots are not a good thing to have, especially when that boot belongs to half a ton of titanium power armor containing a super soldier.
