Anonymous Indominus well, he sometimes has a cape, but the problem everybody faces with spawns cape is that it’s impossible to do without CGI, because the cape is a living thing that’s constantly morphing and changing, it was so complex that video games at the time often leave the cape out. Now this movie makes an attempt at doing it, it looks not real, but honestly the cape is the only thing I can give a pass on in this movie, because the way the cape works, I understand why. Everything else though.... ehhhhh
Past me wrong. At this point he didn’t know how to use all of his powers including the cape. When he kills violator is when he learns more about his suit.
"The special effects were so good for a 90's film." You need to rewatch The Hobbit, the new and "improved" Jumanji...... and nearly every movie today that uses cgi .
It’s in production but Spawn won’t be the main character of the first movie, Todd McFarlane confirmed. He wants to make Spawn the main character in the sequel
They should have rebooted this movie. Make it using the latest technology... And follow the original comic as well... Spawn conceptual is actually great...
It doesn't "deserve" a reboot". It deserves to be preserved and watched as it is, and not be exploited by this utterly empty generation that tries to cash in even the littlest spark of creativity from 80's and 90's because is too dumb and shallow inside to conceive something minimally imaginative for its own. Create your own mythologies and "franchises" and leave the classics alone.
The Viloator is pretty good at being stealthy hahaha. As big as he is, you would think that he would have a hard time playing hide and seek with Spawn in that claustrophobia alley.
For all its faults, I adore this movie. Its kind of like a weird saturday morning version of the comic (even if Adventures of Spawn is already a thing.). Nothing holds a candle to the HBO series, though.
I like spawn even though he went to hell he tried and do the right thing and saved people he saved the world really when he took the virus to wipe out mankind he’s a good influence
I keep thinking about Deadpool everytime I look at Spawn also he keeps waving that gun around! If there's a reboot then I hope more action and modern day CGI will be involved!
Spider-Man 2099 Channel 2 it's funny when i was playing marvel ultimate alliance 1 i was trying to fnd a character i can pretend it is spawn for my edgy lord team like ghost rider, blade and black spider-man and stuff and i saw deadpool but his comedic tone made me not sure and try to look again and try to pick rinan but had a wacky as voice so i went back to deadpool. J gitte convince in the thor level base that had me get a chance to talk to deadpool and irnic the question is exactly how i would of ask him ad he give this serious voice.
They should've just made sequels to this movie. Some times the CGI was good and other times it wasn't but I think overall it was an alright film. Plus the soundtrack is f*cking phenomenal.
I couldve SWORN when i was a kid.. when the violators jaw grew he chomped down on the guy he was holding, instead he just grows his jaw then throws dude away?... Mandella effect.
Well, I'm sure they cut out things with violator. You don't spend that much money on a CG effect and a full grown puppet without wanting to use it a lot Plus Violator tries to eat Spawn at the end, so what your saying makes sense. How did that guy die from getting thrown on Spawn anyway?
People saying it was the 90's to justify the shitness of this movie need to chill. I was a fan of the comics since the beginning. All my friends were into Youngblood, but I couldn't care any less for all those X-Men wannabes from that time. The faustian and macabre aspects of the Spawn tale intrigued me from the beginning. I had everything. The comics. The spin-offs. The caps. The toys. Guys, I was there opening night, and let me tell ya... it was horrible back then too. I went with a friend from College (who wasn't a fan of Spawn) and he was bored to tears and looking at me everytime one of those dodgy "special effects" appeared on screen. The finale, when the fireplace led to a Nintendo 64 hell with Malebolgia, was the drop that spilled the cup. Some things we liked: the costume, the music, some effects, but never an entire scene. Not even a fucking scene!!!!
When this movie first came out I thought it was awesome. I must have been in 6th grade then. But looking at it now I can see that it wasn't so good. However I'll still watch it for nostalgic purposes. I don't think Michael jai white played a bad spawn really. I just think the lines given to him were crappy. I mean come on the movie had a pg-13 rating. They weren't necessarily trying to drawn in the comic fans. They were trying to draw in kids which lowers the quality of the film. There's only certain things they can do with a pg13 rating. The violence is as bare minimum as it'll get. There's barely any blood. Gore is down to a minimum as well. And you may get away with the use of "fuck" once or twice but that's all. John leguizamo wasn't completely horrible. I think the clown was too cartoony though. I haven't read the comics so I'm not sure how the clown is exactly but I wouldn't expect him to be that cartoonish. But once again any type of humor is in the movie was to draw in kids. I think people are afraid of actually making a film exactly like the comics and having children sneak into the theater and watching it. Then when shooting incidents happen people blame movies and tv.
Manuel Diaz I just finished watching the seasons. You're right it was way better than the movie. It's too bad they ended the show after the 3rd season. They never showed malbogia nor did spawn fight the violater again. There were other side stories that were going on as well.
The only reason why you and many people suddenly think that this movie is not good anymore is because popular youtubers like the Nostalgia Critic for example has told people that its not good and if popular people on the internet says something then people usually automatically have the same opinion. I love this movie and i still think its awesome because i dont change my opinion on things based on what people on the internet say about it. Before the internet became big people formed there own opinions on things but nowadays people automatically have the same opinion as the reviews or what popular people are saying. Plenty of stuff get hated on or loved only because people have been told thats the way your supposed to think about it.
Well Violater can morph and shapeshift into any form he wants or likes. But because he kept screwing around and not doing his task in baby sitting the hell spawns, malbolga punished him and trapped him in the day clown form as his only form outside his true form.
Spawn almost killed Violator when the monster returned to kill Spawn by attempting to bite his head off near the end of the movie. Spawn, by then, has realized his full powers and no longer needs guns, uses his chains to cut Violator's head off. Violator transforms back into Clown and is starting to die when he slithers back to Hell to have Malebolgia restore him.
It drives me completely insane how they added a gunshot sound at 3:22 even though there’s no muzzle flash. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t in the theatrical cut.
John should reprice his role as the clown He has gotten better at acting John did a great job with what he was given and both should be given a second shot reprise there roles
for whoever said that when he'll show up on DC, Dude are you kidding me? he is an independent comic, meaning that he is neither Marvel or DC even once he had meet Batman in cross over
