Spawning Morel Mushrooms from North Spore 

I’m not sure where you are located but in in the upper Midwest in the USA and this last spring of 2024 I did my own experiments on trying to morels to grow, I tried 6 different slurry methods and ended up with a total of 48 5 gallon buckets of slurry, got 8 buckets of each method, and spread them out around my property which is mostly all wooded areas. They say it could take a few years to see any results, however the was a couple methods that I tried that the people in the video said that they seen results the following year, so we’ll see in spring of 2025 if those methods actually work. Some of the methods I got off of RU-vid videos and the others I made up myself, only time will tell if I was just wasting my time or if it actually pays off. Good luck with your experiment buddy!

Glad I saw that short. Great channel! I love foraging for wild ones. Morels, puffs, scarlet elf cups are decent, chicken of the woods, even found some reshie once, but was really moldy. Gots a question if you don't mind. I've attempted to grow mushrooms at home a few times, but it always seems to get the green "forest mold". I've seen many different ways, like how my uncle grows big bellas(I think) on logs with holes, always works. I've seen people use grow bags to a success, and I've tried using the half pint jars. As said always a bust. I sterilized the jars, lids and rims. Poke 4 holes in, and inject the sport solution into a mix of 100%organic brown rice flower, mixed with vermiculite. Cover the holes with the breathable medical tape. Mycelium always forms, nice and white, then like a day or two before I'm ready to pop em out and let them fruit, patches of the mold appear. Is it cause the room they are in isn't clean enough, or is it possible it's where I live? (Rural small town) or the sterlite container is contaminated? I'm gonna keep at it, just curious.
