I listened to Syd Sriram sing "Puthu vellai mazhai" Jeez as talented as Syd is he is nowhere close to SP B sir. The talent level difference between them is just crazy. Syd on his own is a great singer no doubt about that but SP B is a towering presence.

that is your language minded people imagination.you language minded people are under the mentality that onely tamil films are great. telugu legendary director k.viswanath films.he is indias best director compared to maniratnam,k.balachandar,shankar. telugu film 'sankarabaranam 1979' (later dubbed in tamil as 'sankarabaranam') telugu film 'sagara sangamam 1983' (which is later dubbed in tamil as 'salangai oli') telugu film 'swathi muthyam 1985' (which is later dubbed in tamil as 'sippikul muthu'). sp balasubraman recived totally 5 national awards.among them 3 national awards from telugu films. check up in your internet.sp balu recived his first national award for the telugu film 'sankarabaranam 1979' for the song 'om kaara nadhaanu' his third national award telugu film 'sagara sangamam 1983' for the song 'vedam anuvanuvuna'. his fourth national award for the film 'rudraveena 1988' for the song 'Cheppaalani Undi' he got second national award from hindi. sp balu recived onely 1 national award from tamil films 'Minsaara Kanavu 1996' i think now you understand from telugu cinema onely telugu sp balu bacame world famous. then coming to p.susheela,she received total 5 national awards.among them 3 national awards from telugu films. then coming to s janaki,she recived totally 4.among 1 is from telugu. now you got telugu films onely made them as world singers. i think you tamilians won't digest the truth.
Ashok Sura Whatever highness they have attained in any language..... the fullness will not be there unless they come to Tamil.... the reason we only entertain skills irrespective of their origin/tongue... Every state people get their due respect only in Tamilnad.... You only said they are telugu but we Tamilans adore them as one of our hero... They too will not refute it.....
brother spb is a telugu born singer as u can see in olden days both telugu and tamil industries are in tamilnadu itself ...... so he speaks tamil as lik his mother tounge morevr there is no language barriers for music
