Having seen the original, every time those trailers came on, I would get even more mad at Blumhouse for showing WAY too much! 😑 If you haven’t seen the trailers, then you’ll probably be way more surprised at this movie. But Blumhouse REALLY needs to stop with the trailers showing everything. 🤦‍♀️

It even spoiled one of the final twists of the movie... They think they will sell more tickets with these monster size trailers giving away everything? I don't get it. I would prefer a short 30 sec trailers just giving a hint of what it's about. Feels like I said the same 10 years ago.. Stupid af

Facts! I saw the original a couple years back, and like you said had the trailer not ruined it, this would’ve been great to go see for those who were new to it!!James McAvoy is fantastic. .

McAvoy has been kicking ass for over a decade. One of the best actors of his generation. I saw the original, it is gross and had an absolute fu$ked up ending. I really hope they changed the ending

How does James McAvoy not have an Oscar yet? He always gives his all in his performances. I think he should’ve got recognition for Split and not even a nomination. He’s the only thing intriguing about this movie, but the trailers didn’t really sell it for me and I had no idea it’s a remake.

I saw Speak No Evil last night with my friend and we both loved it. It was one of the best tense thrillers I’ve seen in a while. James McAvoy was perfect as the charismatic psychopath. My friend and I were on the edge of our seats almost the whole time. 9/10 overall.

I have conflicting feelings because on the one hand it's James McAvoy playing a psychopath but on the one hand the Danish one messed with my head and I doubt this can recreate that experience

When it comes to the marking for this film, Jason Blum must’ve accidentally added an extra zero to the advertising budget when he wrote out the check. That’s the only reason I’ve been able to come up with after seeing both Speak No Evil trailers roughly seventy-five times in theaters over the last couple of months.

Having seen the original already I can honestly say I don’t want to see a remake or the original ever again lol Not that the original was a bad film, far from it. It’s just incredibly disturbing and the ending upsets me greatly which is very much the point. And making a watered down Hollywooded version of it doesn’t really appeal to me

I don’t know, it would still be in my mind and also it kind of makes me scoff at the idea of changing it like “you didn’t have the guts to get there” It was a watch once and never again for me, because I do think the film had something important to say and state. But it was such a vicious ending

It definitely has my interest, but I’m already seeing The Concierge tomorrow, and DanDaDan First Encounter on Friday. I don’t think I’ll be watching this one in theaters but I’ll watch it when it hits streaming, along with the original.

I just saw this tonight and my goodness it was STRESSFUL. And that’s a good thing. I haven’t seen the original film so I have nothing to compare. I’m not sure I want to see the original though lol But I laughed and squirmed the whole time and James McAvoy is SOOO good. Give this guy an Oscar please. It’s going to be one my favorites of the year.

tldr. the movie was amazing. I saw James McAvoy was an actor in it and I was immediately like I have to go see it. I watched the trailer for the movie and I still loved it. I am also the kind of person who wants to know what I'm getting into. definitely one of my favorite horror movies.

As soon as James McAvoy fully transformed into “the crazy person” and the family decided (stupidly) to hide in the house, it just became a very average “hide from the bad guy trying to get in the house” movie and I was waiting for it to be over. Honestly, I felt that way the entire movie because I saw the trailers before seeing the movie and we didn’t get to the good stuff until one hour in 😅

I had never heard of this movie and i went to buy tickets for alien however it was all booked out. So we all went to watch this movie without knowing literally nothing. After seeing it i watched the trailer and it made it obvious what was gonna happen. I think its phenomenal movie and even better if u haven't seen the trailers

I loved the movie and the experience watching with a reactive crowd! I didn’t see any trailers (or hear about the movie until it came out) and I wouldn’t say there were any twist really. Pretty tame and optimistic ending.

Speak no evil gives me Funny Games vibes. I haven't seen the original Danish version of Speak No Evil yet but from what I hear they both have pretty f'd up endings that are just vile and depressing.
