I've been saved for 5 years. I remember always asking God to be able to pray in tounges. Last year the 1st church service of the year, they asked voluntarily whoever wanted to fast for 21 days. I decided to commit, and day 1 of fasting, I remember being in my car in a parking lot listening to Issaiah praying for someone online to receive the holy spirit, and extend their hands out as if they were receiving a gift. I did it as well and before I knew it my lips started to vibrate and I let it flow.i will never forget that day!

Absolutely!! I have been praying in tongues since I was in 7. Speaking in tongues is a beautiful gift. When you receive it , use it. Your prayer life will become more abundant. And you will be less likely to be reckless with God's amazing grace .

Martina, have you followed the instructions in Acts 2:38? If so, turn your whole life over to Jesus without reservation. Then Jesus will fill you with his spirit and you will so overflow with his presence that your spirit will speak to the Lord in whatever language he chooses.

I was singing “How Great is Our God” yesterday at church and I NEVER sing full clip because I sound terrible and I get embarrassed, but for some reason yesterday we all sounded so perfect together singing and I mean I was belting it out in praise. And al of a sudden something came outbid my mouth that I had NO IDEA what it was. Except I knew that whatever it meant it was a word that was praising God. I almost feel down cold out. I had to grab the chair in front of me. I was shaking. That’s the Holt Spirit! And I’ve ALWAYS thought that people who fell out or spoke in tongues were BS’ing everyone. Man….! If y’all only knew! I had no clue until I worshipped God without embarrassment of Him or myself. Thank you Father in Heaven Most High! Thank you Lord Jesus Yeshua! You are truly Great indeed! Every knee shall bow and Every mouth shall confess that you are HOLY HOLY HOLY!!!!!

YES! I’m 15, I prayed in tounges for the first time today and while I was praying I just asked the Lord to use me and HE DID Praise God, it was the most overwhelming, most beautiful experience I’ve ever had. I felt at peace, I began crying too. The Holy Spirit took over and I’m forever grateful God has given me this gift ❤😭

Jay Jay Henderson. If you are a Christian it’s very simple, you just ask for your prayer language. It may start out as a few syllables but don’t quit, keep going. It will turn into something great!! I personally like praying this way, I know the Holy Spirit can pray much better than me.

there are groanings...in which u will be basically crying out to God bt u cnt figure why you are weeping. its also a form of prayer. i remember one morning prayer in my bedroom i wept while i pray intensely for few minutes in prayer. By experience I knew the Spirit is interceding forme for something bad to happen and its very near. I went to work. When i returned home at break time my bedroom was on fire. amazingly the fire only burned curtains. if i was late by few more minutes the fire would have reached blankets on the bed. I had usd 3k in that room. here 3k is a lot of money you can buy a residential stand with it

thank you for your message 🙏 I received the gift of praying in tongues in '83, and I used it consistently. I saw many awesome miracles over the years; but seems like my spirit has slowed down since I quit using tongues. Unfortunately, many ordained ministers have not been able to answer my question about this, or they say that I can do it at home where no one can hear me. I've also had ministers say it was from the devil!?! thankfully, there are ministers like you who does their homework! thank you 100 times for giving me my life back! I have felt lost with out it. .. It’s not from the devil and you absolutely can still pray in tongues. If you received it, you still have it. I say stir it up. Stir up the gift of Gid that’s within you. Put you some worship music on and start praising the Lord, thank Him for each blessing you can think of. Name them one by one, call Him by His names. Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Shalom Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Jireh, Elohim, Adoni, the Prince of Peace, Yahweh, Yeshua, Messiah, Redeemer, The great I AM...etc. And just ask Him to fill you again. He will. Pray in the spirit by faith and just push through until those rivers of living water come flowing out again. And then keep praying.

I have been there before and it feels as if you have lost something and you feel as if you're never getting it back. I hope this helps, the gifts of the Lord are irrevocable, meaning that gift of tongues that you had is there, you just have to draw near to the Lord, seek Him, rebuild that intimate relationship with Him. I know in my situation, I had saddened the Holy Spirit and my relationship with the Lord and Holy Spirit had declined, I wasn't spending time with Him anymore, in prayer, in intercession and I wasn't acknowledging Him as I used to. And I wasn't speaking in tongues anymore and it saddened me so much to the point I thought there was something was wrong with. I ended up needing yearning to speak in tongues again because I know the word of God says when you speak in tongues you speak directly to God..I prayed and I begged the Lord to help me speak in tongues again..I started seeking Him more..taking time out of my day yo seek Him. And just worship Him...not only in church but in my secret place..I pray that gift reignites in you, in Jesus name 🙋‍♀️❤️ Romans 11:29 for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable

I actually witnessed both of them in the Church I attend before I knew what tongues were. It's easy to tell them apart. One of them is meant to get your attention before an interpretation. It's almost like an announcement that God is about to speak.

@Coast2 Coast "Confusion" in that verse means "disorder." Meaning God is orderly, structured, a reason for everything. There are times where things that God does confuse us, but there is an order/reason for it. Remember the story of Babel? Everyone spoke one language, and then God made them speak different languages? The people were confused because they didn't understand anyone anymore. Who brought that confusion on the people? But there was a reason for it. The people were prideful and trying to build a tower up to heaven. Check out Genesis 11:1-9

When we pray in tongues for personal edification, we are praying the mysteries of Heaven and have no clue what we are saying. However, if someone is speaking in tongues it’s a difference and there should be a interpreter.

@Aybreyana James Correct. 1 Corinthians 14:27-28. If there is no interpreter, silence must be kept in the church (when it comes to speaking in a tongue in church that no one understands because it does not bring edification to other believers or people thinking about going to church).

@Klax They were rebelling, they were prideful, tried building a tower to heaven. The point I was getting at... did God bring confusion to the people? If you read the passage that I gave, you would see that God did bring confusion to people. So confusion in 1 Corinthians 14:33 does not mean confusion like everyone uses it. Confusion in this passage in the context of 1 Corinthians 14:33 means disorder, because the church at Corinth was very disorderly and God is an orderly God.

Let me ask you 3 questions: Why do you want to be baptized in the Spirit? And, What do you think the baptism of the Holy Spirit looks like? And what the Scripture say about it? To get baptized doesn’t mean the gift of tongues. The baptism can happen without tongues or not. Blessings!

Read acts chapter 2 and pray and ask the Lord to fill you with Power from on high and give you your prayer language. I did this with a friend of mine after I asked her if she wanted to receive her prayer language. Me, her, and another friend read it together. Then we grabbed hands and asked the Lord to fill her and He did. It was awesome! Kinda felt like we were in the upper room. This quiet little lady who was a faithful prayer warrior and so soft spoken all of the sudden started praising God in tongues because she believed the word that she read in scripture and God performed His word. The gift is for you, and your children, and your children’s children and for assay as the Lord our God shall call. He will fill you.

I do feel the presence of God when you're speaking, as the Lord always confirms what is truth with His predence. There are many falsehoods being spoken. Speaking in tongues is one of the major weapons that the Lord uses to help those that are His people, game changer! Also, there are diverse tongues, warfare tongues, etc, and being sharp in the Spirit, the Lord will teach you which tongue is which.❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

1st tongue "spirit language". 2nd tongue is actually an analogy... it's regular prayer. Best way for me to explain it.. is that aha moment, when natural words come out and we step back and say to ourselves, wow, that was good! Bc it was the Holy Spirit lead your words that couldn't be uttered, but he knew what to say at that moment.

Praying in tongues has transformed my life for the better in so many ways, I can't encourage people enough to pray in tongues as much as you possibly can! Ive been christian since birth, am 20 now. Received the gift of tongues when i was 12 and have just recently discovered the powerful prayers in tongues and am also learning how to control it for blessing others. I can pray for hours in tongues and not feel time pass, and soon am starting my ministries in the church God has brought me to. God is good. ❤

I can relate to this I used to have friends that would laugh every time I mentioned anything seriously about the lord. It’s because they lack understanding and they don’t want to receive it. I received Christ 2 years ago and didn't know about speaking in tounges. One day a few weeks back we had a prayer meeting with all our church, they all prayed for us to received it and that day was the day I was able to open my mouth and let the spirit flow out. Thank you Jesus

I still only speak English yet when the lord convicts me of sin and I confess my sins in English he forgives me in English .. so I'm in good shape as long as I respond to his correction

This is so true, one night I was being attacked in my sleep and as I was calling on God for help I started speaking in a different language and right away the attack stopped. Thank God we can call apon his name in times of trouble

I’ve been having a rough couple weeks and last night as I was in between asleep and awake I heard my spirit speaking audible with my ears in tongues but my mouth was not moving has anyone had something like this happen it was very amazing to witness

Hallelujah I spoke today for the first time crying I don't know what I said but a lot of pain came out feel better and I know that God is going to do something because I know he heard me it was very intimate my heart feel so much better it is healing

As long as you aren’t interrupting anything, I believe it’s fine. Some don’t like it makes them uncomfortable and they interpret the Bible the way that makes them feel comfortable.

this makes alot of sense i tried praying for a homeless man who i wanted to help atm but couldnt and i didnt really know what to say because i never prayed for someone so i was taking pauses and thinking what to say without jus saying nonsense and as i was holding his hand i started speaking tongues having no control over it then i jus snapped out of it and tears fell from my face and i felt so good inside. the man was too throwed to notice what just happened but i was shocked because i dont know if i even knew what speaking tongues was, i was 18 and i wasnt raised learning the word of god or going to church. i just started getting close to god and praying that same year due to losing a parent to suicide

but im glad it happened because anytime i feel myself questioning if there is a god or just wondering it remind myself of this situation. im now 21 and my faith & love in god is so great i havent stressed or worried about anything because the plans god has for us are never to harm us but the things he puts us through have meaning to prosper us. so after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support and strengthen you and will place you on a firm foundation .

I was always told speaking in tongues was speaking in other languages so others can learn about God. Like if someone who doesn't speak English, you'd speak in Spanish so they understand.

This happened to me at a Deliverance session, it was a tounge no one understood..I just cried cause I have fell off because of confusion and I need to draw back closer to God..just want to be led in truth and spirit..not by man as I've been left confused listening to too much opinions and I see the alot of different beliefs but I still believe 1000 🙏🏾 Lord help me

I had a condition that caused me to black out and walk around aimlessly. I found out that when this happened, I prayed in tongues. I didn't even know I did it. God is amazing.

Tongues are a gift of the Holy Spirit, which HE appropriates, not us. Not all of us have the same gifts of the Holy Spirit.

I’m a VERY STRICT firm believer that if you pray or speak in tongues over an audience or in a church setting, there MUST be an interpretation or else it is not a valid tongue.

@@Disciple_of_God. Paul gives no exceptions. He said that there should be a maximum of TWO OR THREE tongue speakers and that there MUST be an interpretation. Period.

@@joshyoungfornc there is no point in a Interpretator being present for praying in tongues because they're not going to interpret the line of communication from a mans spirit to God. The gift of tongues is not for Interpreting peoples prayers in the spirit. The Bible says that he that speaks in a unknown tongue edifies himself.

Praise His Name!! Thank you for clarity. People sometimes try to interpret your tongue to make themselves look spiritual and you go with what they're saying, until time passes and you realize that's not what you spoke because what they said did not come to pass remotely...
