Species of Salamanders 

The forest and wetlands of the continent of North America stand tall as home to a diverse group of species including the fascinating group of amphibians which are known as salamaders.
These creatures which bear resemblances like lizards play a significant role in the ecosystem and like other kinds of amphibians, salamanders cannot live far away from water which is their natural habitat.
Although most salamander species live in damp areas, in adulthood, they return to the water.
Salamanders are characterised by amphibians with four legs, tails about their body and most skins.
There are over 740 living species of salamanders and in this video, we shall be looking at some of these species.
