I just can't deal with that counter balance on the seconds hand at a glance it's too close to looking like the hour hand but another killer review my friend Be well and Stay Frosty 👍
Excellent review. This is the most in-depth one I’ve seen for this watch. I got a 35mm PRX and was kicking myself when I discovered the S&S brand, but your review is putting me more at ease because of the quality. I have a 6.75” (17cm) wrist and the 35mm wears small. The 40 was way too big. This 37 would be perfect. I was going to get this, but will hold off for a little bit after seeing your review.
@@andrewd7586 The original 35 PRX is fine, but looks tiny like a lady’s watch. The integrated bracelet design, along with the smaller case just looks tiny.., much more than my vintage 35mm Tissot Seastar, which was the quartz precursor to the modern look of the PRX
It’s a great watch for the price, but probably not quite for me. Mainly because this is literally the one watch where I plan on buying the original. Thanks as always for the great review.
Honest review, and the number of reviewers out there who never size a watch, or even take the plastic off. Well done Zee... Ok, I don't like this design - I have the PD Chrono of this style, and I don't think I've worn it this year. Butterfly clasps don't make much sense to me either - they don't allow for wrist expansion and on me are either too loose or too tight. I've got a modded GAB2100 on a similar strap, but that's much thicker. I'm getting picky in my old age.
Yeah for sure and once upon a time i was those reviewers back in the day 😂😂. Yeh im very very picky and its to do with just going through so many watches till you know what you like
I got the one with green dial and my impressions are pretty much the same..additional problem with that last link that doesnt fit is that it is a half link, so you can't use it to get a better fit if needed..bracelet really is the weak point, it is much better on a Pagani prx chrono..second hand counterbalance should be different..but all in all, it still looks and feels good on the wrist..37mm works like a charm..
Many crucial questions i had, were answered, which makes this a great review. Thanks a million bro, honestly. PS You think you were tired? I tried to watch the vid last night, while been back from a hard day in the olive fields... i woke up, phone on my chest, doubt if i remember even the specs shown at the beggining!
Nice looking watch Zee but if the bracelet on an integrated bracelet watch has sizing issues in ruins it for me. It's a pity really. Excellent review and thanks for pointing it out.
Interesting that a Chinese brand has got ahead of the main players with regard to sizing, they actually read reviews! There is also a slight curve to the case at its ends which is absent in some bigger brands, my cheap Curren is the same but at 40mm - and I just get away with wearing it because of the slight curve at case ends, 6.5 inch wrist. Dark green dial, gold and silver bling with integrated bracelet for, er, £8.55 in the last ali sale (inc tax and shipping!). Cheap quartz movement at that price but it looks fantastic on the wrist. The 35mm prx has a dial that looks too small to me so well done to S and S for doing the perfect size. BTW, my Tandorio pilot watch has the NH35 and it is only 36mm but 12mm thick, so I don't think it is too difficult to get the Seiko movement in smaller cases.
I wouldn't buy a homage to a Tissot Prx but the original. The watch is comparatively cheap at €650-700 and the price-performance ratio is great. The strap of the Tissot PRX and the workmanship are excellent. No comparison to the Homage. Unfortunately it was stolen from me. I was often abroad with the watch and in cafés people who were wearing Rolexes, often looked at my watch and thought I had a Royal Oak from Audemars Piguet. 😄The strap looks so high quality that you would really think it was a €20,000 watch.
I cannot bring myself to buy one of their watches, the branding is just awful... it looks like one of those "spelling-mistake" pieces of text. I just think watch makers should use an elegant, compact logo e.g. San Martin - not words spelling out their name.
Thanks for the review. The lume on the seconds hand is odd. Why? Once I decided that its stupid to have that lumed area, I now dislike the watch. A quick look at the time, I mistake the "white" area on the seconds hand as the hour hand...That just does not look proper. Cheers!!!
I haven't seen anyone really talk about it yet, but, could an aftermarket bracelet be a solution for fixing the bracelet issues mentioned in this video?
Bracelet is the weak point. Tricky to get a decent fit and gives me a rash. It shall be getting sold. Also bought the S&S IWC homage at the same time. That has no half links, so cannot get a decent fit, also getting sold. Lesson learnt.
