In this video I check out the TurnsPro. This is an absolutely awesome time lapse bace and can allow you to capture some awesome motion. One of my favorite things about this product is that you do not need an app or smartphone in order to set it up.

Totally agree with your point 5:05 about not connecting to an app. It does make life easier in many respects.

I've had my TurnsPro for about a month now and absolutely love it! A couple of notes: I wish there was a compass/degree scale on the top of the unit. TurnsPro; create and release a decal compass please! Actually, I have a workaround in progress. The lid of the round container DOES have a 360 degree compass printed on it. I'm thinking of razor knifing that out and affixing it to the top of the unit. This will come in handy due to the mechanics of the TurnsPro. See, what ever set up you have input; the TurnsPro starts that process from a 'dead center' no matter what direction your camera is facing. So, I have the TurnsPro mounted on tripod facing forward. I want a 180 degree clockwise pan. Make your settings. Now, turn the camera on the circular mount LEFT 90 degrees. Start it up. Also, when panning back and forth, the time input is for EACH pan; not the accumulative. If you want a one minute pan back and forth; set the timer for 30 seconds. Finally; Using a GoPro and the elbow joints and a flip up mount on tripod you can create a vertical up or down pan. You need a tripod with the flip up style mount. I really have grown to like the AA battery power. Quick replacement and back up and running; no waiting hours for a recharge.

Thanks for this! I've been looking for this as a less expensive option to the Syrp.

Is there any syncing capability for a shoot--move --shoot setup or do you have to start the camera manually with a shutter sync? If not , have you noticed any motion blur issues with a shutter release while a move is occurring?
@StudioDaVeed

Short answer: No. No. Now, if you have a pan back and forth set that pans every 2 seconds; yes, you will have shutter blur. I've done several night lapse tests with the shutter set at 15 and 20 seconds. No Blur. I do have the TurnsPro set for 45 degree pan with a three hour or more pan timer. And really, that is what you want; a real slow pan. (Btw, I'm using GoPro Hero 4 Silver) As you may know, it takes hours and hundreds of pictures to get just a few seconds of Time Lapse. I also did a 360 degree sweep of the living room; one picture every second with the revolution taking 7.5 minutes. I was afraid this speed might introduce blur. Nope, each pic and the 10 second time lapse movie clear as a bell.

I have wanted one of these for well over a year now. I kept sending them requests to post a video of a camera recording audio while using it. They never would. A gentleman in England finally posted a video for me (here's a link to the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-paE0GAXJiE4.html ) and we see now why TurnsPro wouldn't do the same. If you want to record audio while using the TurnsPro, forget it!. It is extremely noisy. You would have to use an external microphone mounted on something away from the TurnsPro. At the time I wasn't looking at creating long time lapse where you would most likely add an audio track in post, I was looking at recording video (maybe a 1 or 2 min) in a situation like a dinner table where I could record dinner conversation at the same time. The problem is with the stepping motor. Other than that It most certainly has ALL the functions you would want. The only other CON is the price being a little high. I think they should knock about 25% off.
