This is a video of a free performance clinic for table tennis that I gave at the South Jersey Indoor Sports Center on August 27th, 2022. With their permission, I've posted it here for you to enjoy as well. Hope you learn a thing or two!
After the presentation, players completed the circuit with a partner and went right into playing their matches afterwards.
If you would like to participate in a future clinic and get hands-on guidance, make sure you come by for a visit at the club:
545 NJ-73, West Berlin, NJ 08091
This is a full-time facility with excellent coaches, league nights, and monthly tournaments!
Or, if you run a club of your own and are interested in booking me for a similar clinic, reach out to me via my contact page:

on the ball drop I was thinking the way shown in the video is good for linear acceleration, and also reactions, but not decision making, which is an important part of any sport and agility. So I was wondering what you think about a variation where you do as you did above, but then you either drop it on the spot or throw it up in the air behind the person doing the exercise so they have to react and either sprint forward, or back up depending on what the thrower does (kinda like how I see a lot of people train throwing tenis balls left or right and you need to react to a direction and catch it, I think Hugo Calderano does this). btw, thanks for all the useful tips and content. I saw your interview with Seth and it was very insightful, just waiting for your book to arrive now.

@@luketruman3033 You're welcome! Your suggestion would be a great variation! No one drill "has it all." That's why you use a variety and rotate them in and out over time. If you watched the Seth Pech video, you might remember the drill where he runs forward and has to run around a cone circle either to the right or left. This works more on that decision making component you were referencing!
