Speed isn't just a "racer." He is Death's avatar on earth... The finish line merely denotes the end (and the beginning) of the rout he takes while harvesting the hapless souls of the damned...
Animanuel I’ve been watching out of context speed racer clips for hours now. Please send help, I can hear his laughter in the twilight hours between sleep and waking.
You can tell it's a parody because people are reacting to his negatively to him indulging his psychopathic urges instead of passively accepting them like normal.
Other animes: *spends several episodes dropping subtle hints and clues a person is related to the main character* Speed racer: Narrator: *UNKNOWN TO SPEED, THIS IS HIS OLDER BROTHER REX WHO RAN AWAY FROM HOME*
To be fair, that's just the English dub. English cartoons weren't structured the way anime always has been. English cartoons were designed to be one-off piece-meal stories. Anime almost always had to be followed sequentially to really understand what was going on between episodes.
1:10 "Please don't smash into us!" **Musters up power from all 5 remaining brain cells to smash into us** "Are you alright, speed?" **All 5 brain cells commit ritual suicide, devolves into murderous brain dead psychopath**
@@vvvxt "He's a demon and he's gonna be chasin' after someone." Couldn't be more clearer than that. The lyrics said "Someone" to Speed, that means anyone or worse everyone.
But does he cares? He is'nt human...he never was human...he is just a competitor, and racers,obstacles...it just so happened that the most efficient way to get rid of theses obstacles was destruction.
Just imagine a movie where speed racer was a real person and his races took place during the time of these viewing of the episodes,it's like a documentary talking to close "friends" of the speed racer talking about how much of an insane man he was and how he would enjoy these races not for the rewards but for the pain he caused on others. Also add anything else to it if wanted.
"I won the money" ~ a souless man grinning with no emotion in his eyes as several onlookers gasp in horror after he's just murdered dozens of people including his own brother to take victory... No matter how many clips I watch of this show it's always entertaining...
NASCARFAN160 I'm not old enough to have watched this when it first came out but it was popular when I was I kid and I grew up watching it. He did cut a bunch of different episodes together but, this is kind of how the episodes go. Never realized with how little of a change in perspective he could been seen as psyco. lol this could have easily been a episode with minor tweaking. LMAO.
@@toaster9922 Yep. I had a long hiatus, but this year, I had time to restore some old vids and upload them, hence I'm back on RU-vid. Check out the other vids. If you liked my Speed short, you might enjoy them too. Thanks so much for watching! And go, go, go!
@Daisuke蛮大輔 It's actually a combination of episodes re-edited together to make a new parody. A bulk of the footage comes from the episodes: "The Great Car Wrestling Match," "The Motocycle Apaches," "The Race For Revenge," "The Most Dangerous Race," and "The Man Behind the Mask."
@@ThePoeticPariah you really think it would of matter. "It wouldn't be fair if I let him win because of circumstances outside the race". I think that would of been his response if the girl gave him this information🤣🤣😂😂
I know this is a parody but there is so much to unpack here: 1. His smile as the crowd screams in terror 2. That f*cking wink at the camera 3. The ending 4. "Please don't crash into me" *spins wheel with malicious intent*
That's because it's not that far off from Speed's actual personality. In one episode, he's in a plane that's going down. He literally goes out of his way to take all of the parachutes so that the "bad guy" is left with none. You can actually watch the clip here on RU-vid, it's called "Speed Racer Kills a Man".
Years later, I'm still surprised at how little attention this video has gotten, relatively speaking. The first couple of times I watched it I honestly couldn't tell it was an edit.
@TheAndrewj96 that is what I'm saying about this video. Its edited but it seems genuine. I also think its hilarious the way Speed is acting like he's insane.
OdaKa “Could the secret to the Covid-19 vaccine be found in this video?” People would be dumb enough to click on it, then get angry about it, then repost how angry they are, then it would get on the news, etc.
"Are you alright Speed?" *"h̴̡̨̟̲͉͔̤͍͖͍̀̏̊͋͋͂̋́ā̵̝̱̰̗͙̀̒́ḩ̸̜͍̠͓̣͕͗̈́͌̍̈̅̓̕͝ă̴̛͈̯͛̆̆͋̊̏͆̚h̸̢̧̢̹͎͓̝̭̪̺͚͖͈̃͗̽̾͑́͠͠ą̴̛̳͓͎̦̾̓́̄́̐͗̊̀̍̍͝ḩ̴̛̞̥̝͙̗̙̃͆̈́̎̚̚͘͜a̵̝̦̟͓̎̄ḥ̷̀̋̾̓̅̑͆͋̀̾̉̓a̸͍͎͙̭͇̞̤̍̉͗̅̆̋h̸̹̾́̽ȧ̷̡͔̼̦̙̘̟̂͆ͅḨ̶̞͙̩̠̻̥̱͈͈͖̳̖̤͒̀͛̅̊̃̄́̚͠À̴̛̛̟̣́̊̓̉͌̓̽̓͒͝H̸̡͚̤̪͔̽̾͗̓̄͋̉̌̂̔̈́̀͘͘̚͜ͅA̶̡̫͙̗̫̫̳̰̖̘͙̤͊̓̍̓̈͗̇̋͛̈̍͜͠͝H̶̟͎͔̯͙̐̀̾̋̋̄̂̔̕͝Ǎ̷̳̣̬̾́͒̓͂̑̀̅̋̚͝͠Ḧ̶̡̦̖͓̀Ȁ̴̢̨̬̩͉̹̼̹̜̖͔̯̻͑͊̍͗̈́̎͂͗̈́͑͒̅H̴̛̳̥̹͂̓́̀̇̇͂͆͝͝Ȃ̸̻͉̣̭̩̙̉̀̈́͠"*
Wait a minute, the description also leaves it open for interpretation. Is this a parody or not? I personally think the clips are edited, but the voices not so much.
SINGING: "And when the odds are against him he just -- kills the other racers." At that point in the intro, he always slams into another car and it causes a giant explosion. We were warned.
@@Krystalmyth It doesn’t actually sing that he kills the other racers, but he does kill a dude: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-suCm1w_KTiY.html
yup. Honestly don't know why they didn't show this side of him in the live action movie. They made some stramge fuckin decisions in that but the worst is not showing Speed as the genocidal maniac he is.
Imagine the 60s childrens reaction watching the protagonist laugh like a psycho after killing the drivers 1:22. I never through that cartoon was very dark and violent.
he woulda won sooner, but none of his competitors had dying sisters whose operations they needed the victory money for, so he was having trouble finding motivation to crush them.
A reporter later asked speed if he felt any guilt about his more morally questionable racing methods, speed incredulously laughed and reminded the reporter that he won, obviously. The reporter figured that speed just didn't understand the question, speed figured that the reporter didn't understand racing
.*🏎️🏎️* Racer X: Are you alright, Speed? Speed: ... (maniacal laughter) Racer X: 😐 Speed: (laughs some more while staring at the viewer with infinite hatred)
What do you get when you overtake a mentally ill racer in a society that abandoneds him and treats him like trash - I will tell what you get, you get what you fucking deserve Rex! **Rams into him**
"This is a parody of the classic series...or is it a lost episode?" After watching all sorts of random Speed Racer clips, I wouldn't even put it past them to make this an actual episode.
1:11 Guy: "Please don't smash into us." Speed: "ajbndhjbnhdjjfb" I laughed so hard to this edit. And to think this is my very first exposure to the classic Speed Racer (my first was the 2008 live-action), the thought of the classic version of Speed being a psychopath is engraved in my mind.
