At almost 71, having played for almost 50 years. there are one of two outcomes that happen in pool. Either we make the ball, or we learn something. Since I love to learn, pool has been my favorite sport ever!! I would love to see you demonstrate the wagon wheel drill at some point.

It works on slight cuts also, line up straight but "think it to the left" subconscious takes care of the rest.

Nice one! This is not a protest to anything said- cause I’m 100% with you :) The only thing that stands out to me about this drill is that because the object ball is so close to the pocket, funky things can happen due to the rail being so close. Often times, table conditions play a large factor in these types of shots cause of the competing forces between spin and angle in/out, especially when close to the rail. Like when spinning the cueball up the rail, if that object ball is a ball closer or farther from the rail it completely changes the shot cause of the competing variables on the cueball at contact with the rail. I’m only thinking about how the type of demonstration changes the essence of what’s being said. But honestly I’m nitpicking 😂. Y’all are great.

I'm a fan boy of you 🤗 I'm one take/Hulk smash no prep on these training videos Not making excuses, just saying that when you give feedback it's great and on the money, but if I made videos focusing on too much nuance (nit picky-your words🤓) I wouldn't make videos I've just decided that this is my style of learning and I'm teaching my style of learning to the world that's interested Cliffs- You're awesome and I admire your approach and detail. Cliffs 2- I kinda think I'm a hot mess, but it's part of my charm😎 Come up to MN and do some nit picky sh*t with me👊

@@SlateBilliardClub I would love to do that ;) Nitpicking is my jam 😂. My channel is basically the opposite of yours lol. I don’t consider myself an instructor. I just share what I’m discovering/working on, which is ALWAYS with nuance. I’m not the best player, but my personality is so overly analytical and I love to experiment and find subjects to talk about that inspire me. For the most part, that means aspects of pool that aren’t covered as much in pool RU-vid world. My view is, if someone has a video explaining how to approach an aspect of the game that’s better than I can do it, why do one myself? I don’t make videos for views, I do it cause I’m selfish and articulating something you’re learning is a really good way of improving 🤷🏻‍♂️😂. I don’t have “hot mess charm” lol. But it looks good on you. Keep it up brother. One day I’ll make it out to MN and have a blast. I’ll let you know when that day comes.

I look forward to watching this one. Even after all these years, this is my biggest weakness. I had a lot of table runs last night (albeit barbox) but I probably would of had another 5-6 more if not for my lack of speed control 😭

Great video! I agree that's how we need to practice, Kudos for stickering up the shot. To many people don't do that and that changes the shot completely.

In all seriousness though good stuff. I feel like slow speed running English is an especially important thing to have in your aresenal on bar tables to sneak into shape and/or avoid potential scratch paths.
