Very cool concept! First I'm learning of it. Fascinating all the ways you can speed up growth of plants/trees. How old were these plants you were working with?
My fertilizing procedure varies quite a lot. In general Holly Tone from Espoma is a good organic fertilizer that works very well on jaboticabas. Too many factors play a role to give accurate advice, like if it is planted in the ground, what the water source is, what soil composition, pH of the soil and water, how often it is watered, etc. A slow release fertilizer like Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 I have used with success. I got the 5-6 month formula. Just don't add too much at a time, I just sprinkle it around the "drip line" if planted in the ground or the inside edge of the pot.

I have only tried it on a seedling that got split like a log down the middle between 2 branches. I just closed up the wound and put a clip on the break. After a few weeks it was healed and the clip was removed. No grafting tape or anything else used. It was magical!
