@@jasonkeith2832 well, the smash link has always been smash link, except the appearence, which was changed to represent botw The speedrun link was ment to be specifically botw (speedruns) in EVERY aspect, so he is probably a better representation for botw
@RuberCuber I just watched it then came here, he looks amazing! Well done! I actually thought it was a new animation from Terminal since it's my favorite animation.
The explosive in its side air its actually the head of thunderblight, one of the hardest bosses of botw. In the animation speedruner link is based, links kills it, rips its head of its body and yeeets it to ganon's coocon
@@morganapersona5347 No, the point is that is not original, because everyone probably thought of it, I thought of that and then realized "Yeah, totally original and smart"
It actually properly made every 100% characters art stile there funny and stupid but have you played tabs it's a great game and it has secret 33 it's on xbox I think
2:18 You might think that’s a guardian head, but according to Terminal Montage’s video, based on the shape and design, that’s actually the head of Thunderblight. Nothing but facts my dudes.
You can go into Up B after bouncing off of an opponent, then press attack(without pressing down) to go back into Down air. So as long as you hit the opponent with Down air you can Up B then repeat the cycle.
Should mention that the speedruner Link is a reference to the animated video of Terminal Montage “Something About Zelda Breath of The Wild ANIMATED SPEEDRUN ANY%”
oh that bounce move is a btb (bullet time bounce) you jump on your shield, enter bullet time (slow motion basically) and when you hit an enemy it launches you in the air
2:33 It's one of the four Guardians that you're gonna fight in the castle (if you go straight up to the castle w/o saving the beasts. Simply put: speedrun). The piece is actually one of the Guardian's head that this Speedrunner Link ripped out from, and threw it at Calamity Ganon. TM (Terminal Montage) says otherwise.
The bounce move is actually a glitch in the game, where if you froze an enemy and dropped on it while shield-surfing, it would launch you across the map(I know a lot of you know about this, it’s just for the people that don’t know).
there should be a mod when all the top 30+ custom characters (that are "legal/fair" to play). And yes, some of you might think similar to Project M or game mods but that's been done before
OP meme characters are funny for, like, a day. So Speedrunner Link being the perfect balance of meme and serious, and also just being extremely polished, is a godsend.
The down air is referencing the tech that botw speedrunners use to gain EXTREME ALTITUDE. Simply enter bullet time while shield surfing and hit something! Usually a bokoblin or similar.
