The Rivals of Aether Workshop Iceberg Explained 

Is there any other obscure Workshop lore you know about? (minus the 18+ character we dont talk about that one)

There needs to be a rivals iceberg in general, being a player since the alpha it'd be interesting to see if there's knowledge I don't know about

That Mario from smash bros gave me a headache after hearing "limit boosted arsene leven sword ko punch while the opponent is covered in ink"

You should have added frisk's removed gimmick, which was to manipulate the red soul in a battle box. That one should be right under the highest level because it was shown in their trailer.

I didn't even know there was an attempt to make Red Knight in the past! I hope whoever tried to make him will be happy when our (Indies of Aether) Red Knight is finished.

The “play as stages” glitch actually hasn’t been patched yet, I uninstalled Shrine of Void a few days ago and it popped up in my workshop characters list.

I like how the existence of Kris in the game is more well known than an actual canon character.

Idk why but i was expecting to see Omega Tiger Woods on here somewhere, he was one of the funniest fighters i’ve seen from the workshop but he was suddenly removed, making him unplayable, and i don’t seem to see why he was removed

ROCKET LEAGUE CAR BEGONE CRUIS'N IS NOW THE RIVALS CAR GAME Also a little extra tidbit on Coolboyo - the Steve edit actually took Shy Guy's entire dair code, but with weird edits on some hitbox values that did nothing, and I'm pretty sure had the Carrot sprite in the files but didn't implement it for some reason? And on that one last note, Ms. Maribel actually helped me get through college, as her, Bucket Beach, and my video presentations on her counted as a personal game dev project! These lil projects really are meaningful, and don't you forget it!

That last entry was really,,, heart warming, and honestly kind of came at a great time for me, currently working on my portfolio page! ,,,in which I am including some of my Workshop work ;0

For the don’t ask questions one, I am REALLY sus at mojibake now, since I used to play moji and tamat a lot, until my PCs hard drive suddenly died, and now i don’t exactly play much rivals anymore, but yeah, moji’s weirdness was an off the wall theory of mine, but with that hidden payload..

As flattered as i am to have been mentioned in the video. I cant take credit for that WIP collage, i believe that was Spam who made it.

A few notes: - The grub in a fishbowl in the mystery collage was an early version of what would become Mojibake! I have some of the old animation files for them still, and do want to flesh out Heritor in the future... (If I get to it ^^;) - The jump bug had to do with a misdeclared variable in the example init files, so the effects cascaded for a few days while people over time updated their templates. - The Moji screen phrases are all references to various creepypasta stereotypes and spooky workshop events, features some fun ones like: "-1" - The default workshop description if the field is left blank "THE NEXT DISASTER WILL HAPPEN IN 0 SECONDS" - A reference to a screenshot of birdguy's taunt on the roblox hazards stage, where it's the text overlayed on a black background with birdguy staring at you. "swallowed != 0" - Kirby error that plagued the team until a simple if statement fixed the console spam "8 AWESOME ANGLE FLIPPERS" - Reference to Jack Black's sesame street episode (Secret of Note: All of Moji's custom sounds are edited clips from that segment. Dstrong is Jack Black's grunt backwards, and Moji's victory theme with "8" repeating are the easy to parse ones) "HYPER_REALISTIC_BLOOD_STRIP420.PNG" - Sonic.exe "YOU CANNOT WAKL YOU CANNOT R U N" - Initially, in the workshop docs instances of walk were misspelled "wakl"; R00's fstrong samples Sinistar's R U N C O W A R D - I patched QUESTIONS in for a Wednesday dev stream and asked Giik to try to win - the phrases and eyes happened but Moji did not win and no one noticed ^^; - Guest characters just kinda show up through portals - assuming that the guest characters are cannon to rivals, any and all guest characters can be transported to Aether though themed portals. - A funny bit with "Workshop is Cannon" is there are a few workshop characters that have gotten unofficial lore thumbs up from Dan, such as Hime.

This is the kind of stuff that I find awesome about Workshop. All of the little things and extras are so freakin cool

Another example of kirby ability mixing traits. This is just a pattern 100% fox: Gives moves clairen stun Speedrunner link: Gives moves the explosion effect Fox: Duplicates projectiles for less damage Lonin: Makes moves chargable Chef: Makes moves slide 100% accurate mk: Multiplies moves and gives them go aerial upon using Asdf guy: Give some projectiles piano hitboxes There are many more, but I don't have all day.

Did not expect to see Slimepuffen's Tomo skin in here. I actually had plans for a lot more stuff for both Callie and Slime for that event but I literally reskinned the Slime alt THAT MORNING before the event started. From 1am to 8am all I did was reskin Tomo and make the custom portraits for Slime's Callie and Tomo alts haha. Next time an event comes up like that I'll make sure there'll be a lot more flair for the player though, my characters wouldn't be as amazing as they are without the help of the community and the players in workshop

This a really cool video Just FYI though, the 100% Accurate trend isn't directly connected to TerminalMontage. Yes, Fox's design is heavily inspired by TM's version of Fox, and many things about him, like his controller sounds, are loosely inspired by his videos, but I would definitely consider him to be his own thing, especially when there are characters like Speedrunner Link and Mario that are clearly inspired by TM.

13:55 With Peppino Spaghetti from Pizza Tower having recently released as a mod for Rivals of Aether, I can safely say, this has definitely happened again, as his sprites were made by the creator of Pizza Tower, made specifically for the RoA mod.

Giik also made a cool Atari 300 styled game called Creepy Castle, probably one of my favorite stories!

What are the names of some of the submissions fakejoker made? i want to check them out, stuff like this is interesting

Fun fact about tamat that isn't in this iceberg, as far as i know from my journey to collect every single buddy as off when i'll be done with that, tamat was originally gonna be a boss, but time was to short for that. However there is a buddy that if combined with tamat his home stage, him being an opponent & the buddy being equipped, he turns into a boss with the aether version of the stage making it hard mode & a certain imput combination that is in the desc skipping the puzzle section & getting straight to fighting tamat

I remember downloading Linus before he was listed as incompatible. He's just a poorly made sandbert clone, whose uspecial crashes the game. The dev made the attack refrence a nonexistant window, and is probably why hr was listed as compatible.
