If both players are Mario, and one activates the glitch zone, rather than either mario taking damage, they both gain speed

@@zicraftian not really though it makes it so the glitch zone ain't doing dmg to your opponent if they are also mario and it actually benefits the other Mario also.

i happen to notice a lil bit of something when i played this character, so if you play speedrun mario with the abyss pallete, it gets rid of your sculebug and you might only be able to use it once, just thught id point that out for everyone incluseing you as well linklight.

Imagine your opponent gives you enough time to when they die you get a blj to the point where you're at 9,000 and then you scuttlebug you would have so much speed

As someone who's tried Speedrunner Mario previously, scuttlebug raising looks like a bad addition. Specifically because it appears to remove/replace the BLJ shine effect for speed generation... and because the scuttlebug generates far too much speed and does too much damage when used.

It doesn't replace the BLJ , and it only does around 25% damage (when he shows it on the video the rival already had 90% before entering the glitch zone). But yes, it generates way too much speed
