Even though he did get a head start, he actually did really well with staying well ahead of the other athletes which i can say is really hard because its tricky to stay the same speed and consistency throughout the whole race. And a big camera along with it. Huge kudos to him.

I'm not really surprised though. Cameramen are extraordinary breeds of humans. In the movies, they can survive nuclear blasts, They were able to keep up during the fight of General Zod and Superman, They were able to capture the fight between Godzilla and Kong unscathed, heck, even Zombies ignore them in every zombie movie I know.

Tbvh, in my opinion, there are more faster people, more stronger people and people that are way better than athletes, because those people are way more well trained with their own careers examples is like this video where the guy whom is trained with the camera to run, than just athletes who only focuses on just running.

Fun fact : when you turn your head sideways while running straight you lose around 25% of your uniform acceleration and non uniform hand movement while sprinting make you lose speed as the pace of the feet are reflected from the movement of your hands. This conclude holding a camera and turning all the way back to the runners make our cameraman far slower than his normal speed. Champion right there
