Thanks Tony! This is basically what I figured out by exploring the radio and it has worked very well so far, but I'm definitely interested to see an alternate method... the more I can learn about radio setup the better. 😁
@@jayoHobbies are you able to set the button by your thumb (button g I believe) to enable 4ws reversed (like a monster truck steers) so press button g to turn on 4ws and then press it again to turn it off. Or make it momentary where you hold it down to have 4ws and then release to return to front steering only? Or are you only able to do that with the dx5 pro?
This is a great tutorial for set up instructions for the radio. How do you have the servos wired to the receiver? Are you using a "Y" cable attached to the steering port or some other configuration?
Thank you, that was an excellent tutorial. Was your rear servo plugged into the Aux1 channel, or did you splice both servos into channel 1? It would’ve been helpful too to see your receiver set-up before programming the DX5 Rugged.
Thanks for the very simple and direct explanation!! My dx5c does not allow to select steering : INH once in mixing. Just ships right over it to MIX 0: INH. Any ideas.
@@jayoHobbies i did , new subscriber bc of it. If you had a video to sync to traxxas summit wud be killer. No rear steer, just has 3 modes for lockn and unlockn diffs
You can plug the rear servo into channel 3 then follow the directions in the video to complete the setup. Front steering will be on channel 1 and your ESC will be on channel 2.
i am hoping you could help. I have dx5 rugged, the controller works , for steering but no throttle. The radio looks like it receives the signal, but the car wont move. the steering works. any suggestions
It sounds like maybe your steering dual-rates are turned all the way down, I'd check that first. If that doesn't work then I'd try plugging another servo into the reciever and confirming that the servo in the car didn't die.
Jayo RC just tried to replace 2 different links , was on phone with traxxas at time. First one connected but no movement. Then link light went dead. Re installed new one and same thing. Traxxas Algren something wrong with esc. Now a month long adventure waiting on getting the truck back. I hope only 1 month. I only own this one. I was waiting to buy my exb. Ordered the radio. Waiting on seeing what you put in your exb stay safe and keep the comrade going with rc guy. 👍👍👍❤️
