@@augm8184 it's a Very Hard game and getting to cosmic ocean is one of the hardest things you can do - you're not bad for having a rough time with it. every run gets you a little bit better. keep at it! 💪

@@elihays7999 imma need you to explain that one. The game with multiple branching paths, each path having its own bosses, ending in a truly randomized level, has LESS variety than a game with a linear path? Sure Spel. 1 has the Hell level, but i wouldnt call that a "branching" path

@@LordZanas In spel. 2, every run feels the same no matter where you go (unless its temple): you get the same stuff, do the same stuff, and reach the same ending. the only differences are the mini bosses you face on world 4, and whether you have vlad's cape or a jetpack. In spel. 1, the level generation is almost completely unpredictable, and you never know what you're gonna end up doing in a run, just where you're gonna go. The level feelings in spel. 1 cause you to randomly explore levels with completely different landscapes, rather than simply adding a structure that gives you no benefit. you're not encumbered by having to carry the bow 50% of the time and can make it to the boss without ever having had to use a hired hand to get what you want from level to level. You can reach the boss with a shield, a plasma cannon, a shotgun, or an eggplant and you never had to bother with tedious baby sitting.

unless you're actively going out of your way to do something pointless, you will always complete spelunky 2 with pretty much the same gear

@@elihays7999 I feel like that can also be said about the original though, ice caves has a guaranteed jetpack and paste bombs are a given because of the spiders in world 1.

@@ewwpoorpeople5684 to be fair it gets really easy after some time. if you can get to 7-27 then you can get to the end

and is most definitely not the game that will torture you as much as Spelunky 2!
