Neverwhere was my first Neil Gaiman book! Still my fav. Great choice to start with! Hope you love it too!!! The Graveyard Book is fantastic too (Jungle Book retelling)
I’m going to go to nyc tomorrow and most likely buy some books from the B&N that’s 3 or 4 floors! I already have a big physical tbr but I’m feeling the vibe.😂
A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon is a super fun book! Very cozy magical realism romance novel. I read it in August to kick off fall and it was so fun. 10/10 recommend 🍪
I highly recommend the audiobooks for Neil Gaiman! His voice paired with the musical orchestra creates the perfect reading experience! My favorite is The Graveyard book. Haven’t read neverwhere yet but it’s on my radar to read very soon.
Neverwhere was the first time I ever saw or heard anything by Neil Gaiman. The TV Series of Neverwhere came out on TV sometime in the 1990s. I dont think I have read the book yet, but I absolutely LOVED the TV series!!!
I was just in London for only a few days and most of my time was spent perusing bookshops, with both old and new books 📚 Oxfam also has a few book-only charity shops which include lovely antique editions. Would recommend!
I’ve been reading Olivie Blake’s La Petit Mort and I’m having fun with it so far. I also finally bought all of the heartstopper comics! I’ve read them as they were published online over time but I’m so happy to have them on my shelves now
I LOVE NEVERWHERE! I'm so excited you're starting to read Neil! I'm rereading it and is amazing to see how staple neil it is, yet how much better he's become. I recommend graveyard book because is like , universally agreed to be his best, but my personal favorites are Anansi Boys and Ocean at the end of the lane, but maybe don't read the latter if you can't handle coraline😅 I don't find either scary at all tho!!! Is just wholesome kids experiencing horrors🥖
Neil Gaiman is one of my absolute FAVORITES. My favorite of his (and one of my favorites of all time) is The Ocean at the End of the Lane. The Graveyard Book is also fantastic!
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman is a top 10 of all time for me! I also loved Coraline. I read The Ocean at the End of the Lane and did not enjoy it at all. I tried reading Neverwhere and DNFd it. I think I like middle grade Gaiman the best. I’m an oddity I know lol!
If you like the "paranormal creatures" thing you should definitely read Masters of Death by Olivie Blake. Suuuch an original book and world. By the way, love your videos. Thank you for making me laugh and entertained every week. Wish you the best !! :)))))
Awesome book store 😮 I have got to get back to reading I use to devour books but now All I read is Manga on my kindle makes me wonder does that still count as reading 😅
Reading Coraline wasn't that scary, maybe because I hadn't seen the film or comic visuals before reading. On the other hand I DNF'd The Ocean at the End of the Lane midway because that was too much! I was not expecting body horror! I can only read cozy/gothic/comedy/MG horror. Also you should definitely read Under the Whispering Door before the Puppets book.
11:09 that sticker on that book is a crime! 14:43 oooo I love books with illustrations like that. 🥐 I've been craving to go bookshopping sooo much since last month. My flowery tote bag tempts me more everyday and I apologise to it for living in a place with no bookstores 😭
🧁 A Witch's Guide To Fake Dating A Demon was a fun book!!! I think there's a good chance you'll enjoy it 🙂 I also really liked My Roommate Is A Vampire. 🧛♂️
