Not to be a Debbie downer, but as a clothing reseller, I think $7 an item was too high for a lot of those brands to make a great profit. Maybe I am doing things wrong, but even good brands will often sit in my shops listed at $10 (price reduced over time) and no one buys them. Some of your items will do extremely well, but at that price point, if it was me, I would probably only be able to break even, maybe make a small profit on that haul. I am used to buying things at $2 or under. That is about the only way I feel comfortable reselling- and where the money is made. It is always fun to see what you get, and I enjoy your positivity and excitement.
Hubby and I did a bulk buy from a guy who buys storage lockers. Over 400 items with many older Nordstrom NWT items. It is sooo much fun to see what you get. Neat to see all the brand names. Mose the model! Thank you you two! ❤❤❤
Trailers: like you, my first was an open flatbed that I used for hauling lumber, sheet goods and a small tractor (about 25 years ago), but as soon as I started reselling and sourcing in bulk I added a single axle enclosed trailer to my vehicle inventory. Since I live west of Seattle, days like you experienced were too common in the rainy season and I couldn’t let most of what I sourced would be ruined by rain. The enclosed trailer solved that issue and saved time dealing with wet stock. Not having to deal with tie downs and being able to arrive home late and not unload until the next day were also well worth the cost of a single axle used trailer. I went on to find and used 4 enclosed and 2 flatbeds, as the business grew, keeping both single and double axles trailers in the inventory gave us more versatility and we could size the trailer(s) to the job, saving even more time.
I would be taking a couple weeks to just list the majority of this on ebay... alot of work. But it will pay off big! Now to just get it out of the death pile 😂
@@HairyTornado And then put a smaller tarp over that, tie down well and nothing gets in - it acts like a tent fly. Did that all the time using a trailer for camping (Family 0f 3 -6 depending on the year lol) and NEVER got the inside wet.
Great haul ! IMHO you guys need some electric garage door openers for the warehouse. Maybe you can do a thrifting video to pay for them, that would be fun. 😊
This is a good opportunity to make the pareto principle work for you. 80% of the profit is in 20% of the items (or effort). I think it is worth the effort to sort the items by 3 piles - $100+, $50-100, and less than $50. List all the $100+ Immediately to recoup your $7k as quickly as possible. You only need 70 or less of these items and you definitely have that many in there. Reserve the $50-100 items for ebay, Posh, or a "high end" whatnot show. Do all the sub $50 bread n butter items in normal whatnot auctions to churn through them quickly and save yourself the storage and effort. Good luck! That is an amazing haul and you have the facilities & skill to handle it. Thanks as always for keeping it real.
In the future, in addition to the tarp, you may want to get some of those giant lawn and garden trash bags and put each box in it's own trash bag. Love your channel.
I am not 100% sure but that stole looks like mink, not rabbit fur. I am so sorry your things got wet. Luckily they are not totally destroyed. I think you might invest in better tarps and straps. Mose was so cute in his Pooh hat!! Poor ole pooch has to test out his parents wares all the time. Give him a hug from me!! Love to you both and LOVE LOVE LOVE the videos!!
Great haul! RU-vidr Hustle At Home Mom sells designer clothes, and I have learned so much about what brands to look for from her. Mose looks awesome as Pooh.
I may be late to the party, but that was a MINK stole, not a rabbit! It’s a very nice piece, not sure if those mink stoles are in demand, but fur teddy bear artists would love it.
I love you guys! I honestly feel like you got a really good deal. Some of those brands are going to surprise you, like Lafayette 148 NYC. Great, higher end brand. That one electric blue bag, can't remember designer off the top of my head, but it's STUNNING! Great job! Love you so much lol
This is what Hubby and I call, "an adventure". Always be prepared, lay a very large plastic sheet on bottom of trailor, when all is loaded, wrap like a giant present. Then, double tarp it. We only use tie-down straps. Crisscross in all directions most of the time very little gets wet. Love the videos, let us know when your going to be on, "What Not". Thanks!
Yeah definitely rent a uhaul or start with a large tarp on the bottom of the trailer, pack boxes on top, then another tarp on the top so the boxes are enclosed. Water definitely comes up from the bottom when it’s raining
Theory is similar to Vince, high dollar and mid-resell price (doesn’t keep its high price tag) - both make quality pieces though. Spiritual Gangster is a yoga-centered brand, similar to Alo but not as popular. Still sells well. Their graphic racerback is a popular item from them
I got disappointed about the last box but overall I think you will at least double your money. Also it’s a source of RU-vid content as well. Good luck guys
Hannah Anderson is a great brand. They do a lot of kids clothes and some adult clothes. They are super high quality and last forever. I have pairs of pajamas from them that were mine in the 80s that my kids then wore and are still in amazing shape that I'm saving for any grandchildren. Super cute and amazing!
Vivienne tam is a higher end designer (takes a while to move but worth it for the payout) Hannah Anderson is another good one (does a lot of special collabs and is well known for their matching family pajamas)
Josh, you did a great job backing that single axle trailer. When I started my mowing business, I had a single axle trailer. They are so much harder to maneuver than a double axle trailer.
Brooks Brothers and J Crew are very good brands! Both can be expensive. What you thought was rabbit fur could be maybe mink. Stuart Weitzman is a high end brand. For a simple slide they start at $300 and on up from there. Boots start at $600. Fabulous haul and am eager to see how much you profit from it!!!🤑💸
Yes, I was also confused by them saying they weren't great brands. Both tend to be on the expensive side and pride themselves on workmanship. At least they did.
the Mark Shale jacket. They stared a retail store in Joliet, IL back in the 50's/60's under the name Al Baskins. Expanded more into the Chicago area with 2 stores and eventually went out of business.
Great haul folks!! The bulk side of the equation needs to include your time, gas and travel inconvenience!! It is well worth the pickup!! Congrats and so thrilled for your ongoing success !! Greetings from Canada!! GIDDYUP!!
I’ve watched all your vids I really enjoy them keep up the good work 😊❤love from London uk 🇬🇧🐶🐕💖💕. p.s I love moes his so cute what a great goods inspector 😊.
I feel as good as you guys are with the way you conduct yourselves all these items will be sold and you will double your money possibly even more Congratulations ❤😊
Hey guys, what a shame, you couldn’t put all that stuff on eBay you would make a huge, huge profit! That I kind of volume. It seems like it would be almost impossible.
@@lolaseymour1532 anyone that does what we do knows buying it all is t the work! That's what we all love to do! That's what gets the juices flowing, and then she made one phone call and her death pile is gone. No pictures, no listing, no shipping, no storing, no re-donating stuff that don't move. No brainer
@@toynoob2051 I agree with the sentiment however she did curate the collection & saved countless hours of sifting through shit to find the diamonds so I see value in her efforts.
No, let's not encourage people to lowball fellow resellers. The other person put her time and energy into finding all those things. They got a fabulous deal at the price they paid. Dont be a cheap cow.
Once the boxes were wet, you were likely near the net weight limit on those smaller trailer tires. Their capacity should be on the tires themselves and the trailers capacity should be on a label somewhere on the frame. Don’t forget the trailers weight has to be subtracted from the Gross Weight Load Limit, to get the Net Limit you can safely carry. Oh and great job backing the trailer!🙂🙂
OMG, you guys! Study up on your brands, lol!!!! You got some really great stuff for your price per piece. Lafayette 148 is a great brand. Have fun and make the $$$!
When u put the tarp over your things let it hang loose. Don’t tucked it in. So the rain will just run off. When u tuck it in waters gets in the folds. A 88 year old man taught me.
Wish I could find a buy like that. It would keep me going all year. You got some great items. The Lafayette pieces should bring in some great dollars if you don't undercut the market. The Hustle Couple does really well that brand.
Y’all let give them a boost. If you haven’t subscribe. Hit the thumbs up, leave a comment even if it’s a ❤ or 👍🏽, share if you can , & most of all watch all the commercials. All of these things help to pay for the videos we love to watch.
Hey Josh, loved Mose in the Pooh costume. He is such a good boy. If no one has mentioned it, I think your fur is a mink stole from the 60's. Good luck and God bless!
It’s funny as an English reseller hearing you say ‘never heard of that’ to brands I’d be ecstatic with if I found! Theory and Rails from your show stopper box just a few
I’m selling those same y3 men’s sandals. They retail for $450! Hope that helps. Longchamp sells. Those are Tory Burch dust bags for shoes or small purses. Stella mccartney $$$. EVERLANE sells. Good luck selling! You should do well with everything! She was a great shopper!
Brooks Brothers IS a great brand!!! That pea coat is a classic!! They are a timeless, high quality company. But, what a haul! It will definitely be worth the investment of time and money.
The Dooney and Burke handbag is Ostrich embossed cow leather. Still very high quality. I used to work at a department store in expensive handbags and we had to go through hours of training. Hope this helps.
My thing is how did y’all just pull up at home and immediately jump into working lol. I would have had to pee, put my butt on my couch for a minute etc… lol. Dedication.. pure dedication
