I Spent $2,000 on Sports Cards at Burbank Cards? Was this a HUGE MISTAKE?
Today I went to Burbank Sports Cards to buy single cards, slabs, and more? I had a great time hanging with rob from burbank cards, and also wheeling and dealing with Ryan who is one the best people in the sports card community. I love going to local card shops. Its important to support local card shops that help out the local card community.
The card market is soft right now. In my opinion $1-1000 is the perfect price point and what I see people buying at during this down economy. From a collector perspective a lot of prices in the sports card market have gone down which means a more affordable hobby.

I love this video. Its kinda long but i enjoyed the way he was teaching his process and he was basically showing his love for the hobby. The way he talks about it you can just feel the genuine passion he has for cards. Awesome 👏 cant wait to visit the shop one day and meet this legend 🙌

Much respect to owner of this shop. His interview was so on point an its what he does for the collecting of cards that's most impressive. All the work his son does foe the collecting world is cool. Hard work they do keeps the collecting world happy no matter what level collector you are. Ty to this shop for all the work you put in. We need people like this owner to keep collecting fun an even profitable. So cool.

13:50 Dude's 100% correct. Everyday collectors and hobbyists keep the card business going, especially the 40+ year olds who collected when they were in the 80s and 90s and have the desire to start collecting again with vengeance! My tip if anyone's looking. STICK WITH THE high end vintage -> RC Jordan, Gretzky, Bird, Erving, etc. These cards are proven and are more sought after by the investor class.

The guy at the 31:00 minute mark is straight speaking facts. I am an Atlanta Braves fan and my wife is a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, when I got back into the hobby and started spending more on cards I started picking her up a few of her favorite players and she keeps them on stands on her work desk and doesn't say much about when I have packages coming in from ebay every other day, LOL
