I went to new antique mall in my town and I saw something marked as Murano and I turned it over and saw that the bottom wasn’t polished and I said” that is not Murano!” To myself

That isn't always the case with Murano. Not all pieces from Murano have polished bottoms.

How do u tel, if it’s Murano besides the polished bottom, is it marked?

@@libbyraemoore2547 There are a few ways of telling with the quality of the glass. The bubbles are more controlled and the glasses clarity is nicer than cheaper glass. There are a lot of art glass pieces that are Murano style, some of them are even worth picking up. Jocelyn has plagued me with the love of Murano!

I also had a really good day finding goodies at goodwill today! I also resale my finds but on a much smaller scale than you. I spent $81 which is the most I've ever spent at goodwill!!! Hope we both do well with our sales from todays shopping trip!

I hope the Betsey Johnson does ok, You often pass on Marshalls , TJ maxx, and Homegoods, but they do have brands. Ive gotten Nambe, Jonathan Adler, Dooney, Coach, Betsey J , among many others at those stores.Fingers crossed!

I think the Yeti are a great price for your own use even if not re-sell. Those insulated drinking glasses are the best for long lasting cold drinks! Liked the golfball figurines... unique.

We use to have a white elephant bunco night every January. If you got something weird for Christmas you'd bring it and if you got a bunco you got to pick a wrapped gift. I would have gotten the lady ornament and wrapped it as one of my white elephant gifts. It would have gotten a good laugh from all the ladies. Or she would have made a great " boobie" gift for the worst bunco score of the night.

In the 80's I embroidered a clock (not the same pattern) and I recently gave it to my oldest granddaughter. It's sad that the cost of the kit and the many hours creating it and it's only selling for $4. However, it's good to see Goodwill is selling something that's not OVERPRICED! Actually, I like the damage...it makes it seem older.

I've been thrifting for a long time. It's sad to see Mikasa sit and have no interest (mostly cause of the lack of thrifyness of the thrift stores) Noritake is in the same boat with many of their patterns. I got rid of most of my Noritake inventory years ago because no one is interested in buying it. I kept one pattern that has sunflowers on it because there's none for sale or sold and it's pretty! I've done well with the Noritake Bone China, but that's about it. There are a few Mikasa pattern that sell, but Marquette, the pattern you picked up is a no go, sadly.

Interesting that you picked up that $7 vase that might bring $24, but left 2 bear mugs for $4 that might bring $20. Basically pretty close in terms of profit, and mugs ship easier. Then again, I’d have probably bought the mugs for the kids. :)

I think it’s because Jocelyn goes mostly by gut instincts, which are pretty good - this is why her channel has grown like it has! It doesn’t mean she’s right every time, Jocelyn has stated this herself. I’ve asked the same question you asked, sometimes it’s just about what appeals to you or not. I do a lot of eBay searches on items but the more you watch videos and thrift, you do develop an instinct for things.

Today I saw on my watch later on my television and saw a old video of you and your boyfriend shopping all together at a goodwill, you all looked great as always, but your baby girl was only 5 at the time and you were so patient and loveable with everyone, at one point all 3 were taking to you almost at once and you answered so nicely to everyone, you had to go to the bathroom and Andrew paid 120.00 for your purchase and the cashier started to roll her eyes and was puffing because you had brought a lot of stuff, you commended at the end of the video but you were smiling and so care free, I think you are an awesome, amazing person and so is Drew, and the kids also, it was nice to see you with your spike color hair, o what memories my dear crazy lamp lady,I think it was on relic recovery.
