Excellent! Just got an annual subscription of BCC a few days ago and this is showing me the whole power of Particle Illusion. Thanks a lot for this extensive real life example. Cheers from Germany 💯👍
Very nice! Made me want to try some of the effects - BUT as I applied the "Code Breaker" example to a short clip, it speeds up like crazy (the effect, not the clip). It starts in a good pace, but after a few frames is speeds up and looks almost time lapsed. No difference if I render the clip or not... What did I miss? In Project settings, current stage size is 59.94 fps, duration 603, size etc is correct as well. Motion blur not enabled.
@@beMOTIONdESIGN Hi! Yes it was initially 59.94, but I tried it on 30 and 24 as well (interpreted) - I'll try to replicate it again (gave up on the previous one)
Hi there. I just bought Continuum 2021 (including Particle Illusion). I do exactly what he does in this tutorial from @08:05 where he says "Boris has got your back" to around @09.35. But I don't get the same result. My video clip does not show in Particle Illusion when I press "Launch Particle Illusion". What am I doing wrong? I noticed that he does a cut in the video around @09:34. Maybe he forgot to explain something essential? :-) ... Please, help!
To those who have the same question: The answer is: Take a look at the buttons above the Stage/viewer. You want the one between the Zoom and the HUD. This controls what you see behind your particles. Change this to Composite over Source Video or Source Frame and that should fix it.
Correct! Particle Illusion was created by Wondertouch and Alan Lorence back in the early 2000s. It was acquired by GenArts, who were then subsequently acquird by Boris FX. Alan Lorence still leads the PI team for Boris FX as the Product Manager for Particle Illusion.
