@@JedHead77They at least showed him drawing it up more than what they have shown for the other two, especially Tom hollins which just got his handed to him
@@ki11atj49 Drawing is one thing, actually building it is another. Andrew Garfield was shown using a silk-screening machine. Tobey’s had raised webbing! How could a kid working as a freelance photographer afford to make that? 2:46: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EDul4jJQA2I.html
@@JedHead77 Sam Raimi is a lazy director that's why. The reason Tobey Maguire has organic webs is because Sam Raimi didn't want to explain the mechanics of the Web-Shooters.
This movie is a masterpiece. Spider-Man (2002) is generally one of my favorite Spider-Man movies of all time, it tells an amazing origin story about Peter Parker and how he became everyone's favorite Wall-Crawler. First the actors did a fantastic job in this movie including William Defoe, his performance as Green Goblin is easily the most iconic part about this movie and how his interpretation of Green Goblin is easily one of the best villains in Spidey's arsenal. Tobey Maguire does a great job as Peter Parker including Kristen Dunst as Mary Jane and James Franco as Harry Osborn. Second, the story is fantastic, it tells Spidey's origin story in such a beautiful way and it makes it feel like you're going on a ride when you're going through Spider-Man's origin.
@@ghyslainabelit’s an early 2000’s comic book superhero movie, ofc it has goofy moments. But nearly every scene in this movie is memorable and iconic. You can’t say the same for the vast majority of superhero movies. Story, character development, theme, soundtrack, everything is on point. So id say it’s easily a masterpiece
@@ghyslainabel"Goofy moments," lmao. It's Spider-Man, not the Punisher. It's not supposed to be played entirely straight or be dark and brooding constantly. It's supposed to be fun and have a lot of heart.
Raimi movies are the best every movie has a unique theme and sort of lesson for peter Spider-Man 1 - Responsibility Spider-Man 2 - Choices and Dreams Spider-Man 3 - Forgiveness those movies are so realistic and relatable, in any basic hero movies the main character get the power and trying to be a hero. but tbh if someone get super powers the first thing he would do, trying the makes his own life better and "cheat" and that's what our peter doing. the whole first movie he trying to get MJ. but every time he trying to makes things for himself he make mistake (in every mistake you can hear the "responsibility" soundtrack) the whole movie he learn what responsibility is. and by the end of the movie when MJ finally fall in love with peter and confess her feeling, he gave up on the thing he wanted the most! he gave up on what he trying to achieve the whole movie. that's amazing!!! I could make this comment longer and talk about more things that makes the first move a masterpiece. but in short this movie has quick scene and the story moving very fast and chill and you got so much information in each of those fast scene!
17:05 the exhilaration i feel watching that scene is something like no other you feel all the emotions Peter is going through especially the adrenaline of risking everything trying to chase down the man that killed his uncle his first time swinging no regard for his own safety with the music in the background is just amazing
12:13 I was 12 when I watch this film and I loved it. This scene did make a mark on my heart. It actually feels like Uncle Ben was talking to me. "Be careful what you change into." It does help me in my teenage life. 💝
Tobey Maguire’s legacy will always be legendary. America really needed this movie especially after the events of 9/11. A lot of scenes in this movie is suppose to be symbolic of Americans coming together and facing adversities like the NY citizens helping fend off Goblin on the bridge
Willem Defoe is the favourite part of this movie for me. He is phenomenal in this movie. Only when you write a strong villain character you will recognize the hero's greatness in a movie.
This movie starts in such a beautiful way, with the narrator (Peter) telling us the story is all about a girl. The relationship between him and MJ throughtout the movie is incredibly cute, from the compliments he offers her, to encouraging words and his actions too. Norman Osborn is a fantastic character, playing the role of a pseudo-supportive father to Peter, trying to make Harry come out of his shell and embrace his heritage, the witty lines, his desperation to save his company and once his Green Goblin persona emerges, his ruthlessness is unmatched, going after aunt May, wanting to bring Peter to his side, going after MJ and eventually, even with his dying breath, destroying the already fragile friendship between Peter and Harry. This movie really had a little bit of everything, like you so wisely pointed out, Magy. It showed us that actions have consequences, characters evolving and making interesting choices, a love story for the ages, plenty of fight and action scenes and the best part - all of this was blended together into this masterpiece. Thank you for the reaction, it's been nothin short of amazin watchin this a second time with you, showed just how much more you enjoyed it ❤
Fun fact: the actor who played the pro-wrestler in the cage fight scene (Bonesaw) was "Macho Man" Randy Savage, one of the greatest pro wrestlers in WWE history. That voice he was speaking it, that wasnt a character, he used to talk that way IRL all the time. RIP Randy Savage.
Flash Thompson the bully who picks on Peter Parker was played by Joe Manganello who also goes on to be Death Stroke in Jack Sniders Justice League and was also going to be Death Stroke in the Ben Aflaek Batman movie which was cancelled by WB
Seriosuly though, growing up as a kid this movie (and the trilogy still hold up in my opinion) blew our minds. When Peter starts slowly climbing up that walk the first time, we imitated that $hit for WEEKS. It was a MOMENT as a kid.
Of course, this is a classic, and I was a kid at the time when it came out. It did made me look more in the mature side, instead of the goody two shoes I was used to.
34:21 actually no, she had no business calling his father a creep for speaking the truth! MJ is in fact a gold digger, you can tell by the way she acts. 1. she was dating someone who she knew was a bully, 2. we know she has a terrible relationship with her father, 3. we know she needs money and hates her job, 4. she's dating a rich guy who she's obviously not into because she obviously want a good life away from her father, you can tell she doesn't care about him because 1. she turned away from his kiss after he just said she was beautiful 2. she kissed a total stranger (to her knowledge) when she has a boyfriend, I don't care how "hot" it was she still just cheated on him 3. she was about kiss his best friend at the hospital and to her knowledge Peter was a different guy from Spiderman so she was about to cheat again with another dude 4. she kisses her boyfriend's best friend at his father's funeral! I rest my case!😮💨
20:55-J.K. SImmons got JJJ's comic-book look and attitude down pat-Great casting, And Willaim Dafoe made an excellent Green Goblin..Even better FX from the other movies released that year...This was the one that got Disney execs interested in Marvel..They knew by it's box-office success there actually was a very promising future for Stan Lee's superheros...Fun watching you two cuties enjoy this movie (Seuquel is even better!)
It is heartwarming to see young people doing effort to get to know more on everything than just the things they grow/grew up with and to expand their horizons. True sign of intelligence and interest. Keep doing what you do dears! Life is a never ending school but if you keep an open mind only.
The green goblin is a severed personality. So when he is Norman again he doesn't remember anything he did as the green goblin. It's like a dream at the most.
Peter Jackson started as a horror film director and showed what he could do when he got Lord of the Rings. Almost immediately Sam Raimi got the Spiderman franchise and flexed some epic movie making himself proving he wasn't just a horror film director either.
Magy and Laura I can’t tell you how much seeing your reactions to movies means to me. Plus seeing your real life strong friendship coming through the screen is so beautiful and pure. I love your reactions so much better than a movie. I wish I could do words justice how much you brighten up my life. Seeing your reactions makes me want to meet you more and more. I can feel your kindness and good heart through the screen. You are the kind of people I would want in my life. Laura you make such a great addition to the Homies family. Sending love and positivity vibes your way. 👩❤️👩
Ah yes, the film that began the superhero hype train and for good reason! The first two Spider-Man films are awesome. Both are brilliant portrayals of what it means to be a hero and what a hero can achieve (not only does he save the day but he also inspires the others around him). I love this film for ending just as it did. Parker kills his best friend's dad and has to sacrifice his relationships to become a hero. Really captured the struggle of being a hero. If there's another superhero film that should be included in the National Film Registry, it's the first Spider-Man.
This took it too a new level and was huge because spidey is huge but blade and especially X-men are the ones that really started the hype train, those were the first 2 legit really good live action superhero movies on the big screen. Spidey definitely took it too a new level of popularity but the hype train was already in motion.
The original trilogy was also my favorite Spider-Man series. Peter is a kind hearted boy who has a history of having no power, to suddenly having immense power and to watch him struggle with it and to protect those he loves, even if it hurts himself.
A lot of actors were considered for Spider Man until Tobey Maguire was cast: Tom Cruise, Charlie Sheen, Edward Furlong, Freddie Prince, Jr, Chris O'Donnell, Leonardo DiCaprio,Jude Law, Heath Ledger, Scott Speedman, and Joe Manganiello. Nicolas Cage, Jason Isaacs and John Malkovich were considered for The Green Goblin. Kate Bosworth, Elizabeth Banks, Kate Hudson, Eliza Dushku, Mena Suvari, Jamie King and Alicia Witt were considered for the role. Tobe Hooper, James Cameron, Roland Emmerich, Tony Scott, Chris Columbus, Barry Sonnenfeld, Tim Burton, Michael Bay, Ang Lee, David Fincher, Jan De Bont, M. Night Shymalan and Joe Zito were considered for Directing.
These early Spiderman movies have emotional depth and rich well written characters with believable motivations. The new marvel and DC films have almost none of that!
35:01 😳🤭Magy’s little “Oi(s)” is so..I don’t even know what actually came over me by hearing that. I’m not mad or anything, I just…wasn’t expecting that again like this.
Spider-Man is one of those rare characters that is, by _definition,_ young enough that any _actor_ cast to play him shortly ages out of the role. He is, by definition, about the age of a high school senior or college freshman. This movie was made when Tobey Maguire was young enough for that; Tobey Maguire who is now 48. In 2012, though, they made _The Amazing Spider-Man,_ starting over with Andrew Garfield, because Tobey Maguire was then too old. But Andrew Garfield is now 39. He, _too,_ is too old. So in 2017, they started over with the movie _Spider-Man: Homecoming._ This time, the title character was played by Tom Holland. Now this actor is currently 27, so it won't be too long before _he_ ages out of this character as _well._ Now, whatever you do, don't go getting the Spider-Man movies made with Tobey Maguire, those made with Andrew Garfield, and those made with Tom Holland mixed up.
Your reactions are so fun and happy your sister is seeing these films they really nailed the classic Peter Parker nerdy type guy look and feel. The other characters especially Willem Defoe as green goblin is my fav .
Wrestling isn't fake, is a dangerous sport where alot of wrestlers have gotten seriously injured and some even loss there lives from what they do in the square circle.... besides that great reaction from 2 very beautiful ladies😊👍🏽 hope you watch the sequeals.
Jameson is actually an overall good guy (if a bit cheep and dismissive) he just has an issue with people in masks because his first wife was killed by a masked gunman. (at least in the comics)
No Way Home (the third MCU Spider-Man) made me understand better on how Norman's Goblin persona works that I didn't originally. It's made more clear that Norman and Goblin are two completely different people who share the same body (very similar to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde). In the final fight scene where Norman reveals himself to Peter, I now believe he was being genuine with how we was begging Peter to 'protect him from the Goblin', but the Goblin has so much more control over Norman that he knows when to use Norman in order to manipulate Peter and distract him. Norman really does try his best to stop himself, but his Goblin persona has more control over him. It makes Norman Osborn more a more tragic character, he unintentionally created a monster who is pure evil and has become his own creation's puppet.
Notice how Goblin only comes out when Norman’s livelyhood is threatened. He killed Dr Storm when he nearly cost Norman his deal with the army. When Oscorp fired him he killed the board that voted for his resignition. When Norman’s heir got cheated on by his best friend he went after Peter. He also bombed the sh*t out of aunt May for slapping Norman’s hand.
Hey guys thank you for another awesome reaction reaction video, that spider-man film is definitely one of my favorite movies and i still have the 2 disc special dvd edition in my dvd collection ❤😊👍
The second one, the sequel to this, is also great. A lot of ppl consider it the best spiderman movie out of all of them. The Sam Rami Spiderman films feel more like classic sentimental films. I really dont care for the Amazing spiderman movies. And the MCU spidermans movies feel like very well polished products. The MCU ones are still very good but i dont get the same feeling with them as the Sam Rami ones. Like a chain restaurant vs a home cooked meal feeling. The Sam Rami ones just feel so warm and comfortable.
I'm very glad to see people still watching this movie and enjoying it, I used to always watch this and the second movie as a kid without getting bored. Green Goblin is my favorite villain as well btw hahaha
I'm sorry, but you could not cast a comic-book villain any better than Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin. He portrays that split personality so damn well, the way he switches seamlessly from the meek-mannered Norman Osborn to the sadistic and cruel Green Goblin.
@@Rainbow.Pegacorn.Cosplay Yep. I have to say that Green Goblin's costume in this movie is one of the best I've ever seen. Especially since Spider-Man (2002) is the first live-action Spider-Man movie & the costumes and the movie as a whole still holds up 22 years later.
Old superhero movies are way better than the newer ones they used to care about the characters and cared about telling a good story sadly that's not the case anymore
When you watch the next one, make sure to watch the theatrical version! It's the better one! The other version has a lot of unnecessary scenes which don't really add much to the storyline!
This is my unic and best spiderman Tobey Maguire he can transmite the feelings of his character, Mary jean too and so much actors of this movie are good! and this movie always give a you a good message of life, great reaction greetings from perú.
