I love it when Spiderman is just there in normal situations

I like this version spiderman cause it meant he needed to focus to use his abilities instead of it being tech.

That guy seems like he’d raise bionic kids to go on global missions and be the Tony Stark in his world

This scene is just one example of why Tobey Maguire made such a perfect Spiderman. He's got a mask on..the guy in the elevator can't see him, and yet he still can't make eye contact with him. Awkward with a capital A. 😂

People always want to point out that this Spider-Man doesn't have to "emoting eye lenses" so we could "see Peter's emotion" when in reality Tobey gave us so much to dissect here with his portrayal. His voice and mannerisms as Spider-Man are already amazing to the point where we don't freaking need more CGI in his eyes we can already tell how's he feeling from the way he is speaking and moving

I wanna see a scene like this with Maguire, Garfield and Holland in one elevator.

I like this scene because he never really lost his powers it was all just a state of mind, it focuses on mental health.

This is honestly the best looking suit in all of the spiderman films.

One of the best parts of the Raimi trilogy is whenever Peter casually falls from 100 feet + and it hurts him like hell but he's generally unfazed.

The facts that he's avoiding eye contact makes its even funny..

Little stuff like this is what made Tobey’s Peter Parker so believable, from the avoiding eye contact to the over sharing of info, he really nailed the awkwardness of the character

Im Bias AF for the Raimi Spidey Suit cuz for me its legitimately my FAVORITE Spider-man suit of all time, I know some have issues w/ it but to me its just friggin GORGEOUS & I LOVE THE AESTHETIC OF THE DESIGN FROM FRONT TO BACK, I'd KILL FOR A MILES Version of it

Always loved this scene, what makes it better is when you consider that Peter has probably never talked to anyone about his suit, it probably felt good to share that info with a stranger.

When Mr Davenport first gets the idea to make bionic children superheroes.

I love the panic he has when he temporarily loses his abilities. It shows that he’s still human hell a college student at that: he’s one of the few heroes that show fear when his back is up against the wall and it makes it more relatable. Doesn’t matter how high and mighty you are when you’re human fear will still be there .

I really liked spider-man with his organic web and stuff. Also I think having him be basically little ironman was just a bad move. I get that he needed an ironman suit to keep up with the rest of the avengers but he could've been his own hero who made his own suit and then later down the line Tony would have helped him make the iron spider suit or just given it to him.

For some reason, no one has mentioned this recently (as far as I can see) in the comments so I'll say it - Hal Sparks also played Michael Novatne in a Canadian tv show called Queer As Folk which was a huge hit at the time of this film. The character he played on that show was a timid gay man and comic book geek. He grows up crushing on superheroes for their tight costumes and bodies and eventually owns a comic book store. Part of me thinks this cameo is a nod to that series as well although Ramai has neither confirmed or denied it. For fans of that show, it's like seeing that character and what he would do if he met Spiderman.

God, this movie was fantastic. I love how it secretly hints that Spider-Man's powers aren't actually gone by showing his body go through trauma that would kill a normal man. He didn't want the responsibility, and without the power, there is none (or so he thinks, anyway). So, his subconscious mind tricked him into believing his powers are gone, essentially giving himself a mental block from being Spider-Man. And good lord, that costume looks amazing!

I remember watching 'Spider-Man 2' on opening day with a friend of mine as if it were literally yesterday & also remember everybody laughing their asses off at 1:04-2:10. The laughs really didn't start until 1:10 & when 1:44-1:51 came about, that was when they really kicked in. Great times!...
