The premise behind Spider-Man 4 is almost word-for-word the plot of Spider-Man: Homecoming. It's evident how effective the script is, since that was the second-best film in that trilogy and built a very strong foundation for Holland Peter.

If that happens….it would be quite SHOCKING,to say the least!!! Many people say that the 3rd was weak but it possesses Raimi’s quality with Maguire,Dunst and the crew’s excellent acting. Would be an amazing success,no matter what.

Because that time i was young, and i don't fcking care about the plot, I enjoyed the fight, the movie as kids. After i heard spiderman 4 canceled, i was frustrated. I don't get it why people so hate spiderman 3, it is because they do venom wrong? The movie was good, at least it better then the morbius, the marvels, the eternals, and tom holland movie.

@@emergencyawesome Yeah, if they make Toby SM 4 and TASM 3, it could get really confusing for even some fans and communication. We would constantly need to clarify which Spider-Man 2 or 3 we're talking about. The most effective way to continue their stories now would be to combine them. They could call it Spider-Squad or something. A show would be even better imo.

@@eijentwun5509 to be fair tobeys spiderman/peter started out the first movie with Highschool, then college, then he got hired for the bugle same with Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker he attends Midtown Science High School and Empire State University only he never got the 3rd movie which canonically would have seen him juggling being spiderman and being peter Tom Hollands 3rd Spiderman movie, unfortunately he got sidetracked for trying to get stranges help, thus him not graduating and him having to get a G.e.d as seen at the ending of no way home, he would have gotten into MIT but the spell and villains and the whole multiverse unfortunately prevented him. so my point is that they all went through those teen/tween/adult stages in their respective movies

I rewatched all 3 Tobey Maguire Spider-Man films a couple of years ago, and all of them are 100% better than what I thought I remembered. My favorite one is Spider-Man 3, featuring a more comic-book accurate version of Venom. Everybody that liked those Venom movies must not know the comic book or remember Spider-Man 3, which again is a much better movie than what I remembered it to be. I'm really looking forward to Spider-Man 4, especially since Sam Raimi is coming back.

I hope they dont ruin it by making it tie into the MCU. Id love for it to continue being stand alone. UNLESS: The tie-in is showing what happens before he gets pulled into the MCU. Same with TASM series. If they decide to make TASM3 (and they should), it should be stand alone

Tobey’s version of Spider-man 4 should be either renew your vows, or the recently rebooted ultimate spider man. I’d imagine that his spider man married MJ and had a kid or a few kids. Both storylines focus on him being a father and that’s something we haven’t seen in live action. Navigating being a family man while finding out his kid(s) have powers. Or Spider-Man life story.

Ideally I think this could be a post secret wars film with a grounded Logan type tone. At the end he could sacrifice himself and save New York one last time and it’d be a great sendoff to the character. Any version of Spiderman 4 I’d be there opening night

This what we need,Spider-Man 4 and the amazing Spider-Man 3 both Tobey and Andrew deserve a fitting ending for they're era as Spider-Man. Once that's done I can finally move on with Tom Holland knowing my childhood for the proper send off it deserved. Really hope they'll make it happen.

Other than Deadpool & Wolverine this would be the most excited I'd be for any release. The return of Maguire, I still remember running around the mall after my Ma made an event of seeing the first movie as I had grown up obsessed with the cartoons, dressed up with the full getup with toy web-shooters, I was jumping and shooting webs at every random person I came across on the way to the car after the movie - meanwhile Ma apologized for my actions. One of the fondest memories. Love the Raimi Trilogy.

Tobey Maguire will always be my favorite Spider-Man. I really want to see him once again as Spider-Man. Would love to see them make Spider-Man 4 and him be an older, wiser, stronger man able to handle any danger that comes his way and be a leader among all these Spider characters Sony hopes to introduce.

i would love to pay off his retirement with the story of old spidey who has to battle king pin and at the end of the movie he would pass the mantle to miles it would be a beautifull story and a good way to finish the toby's arc ps: i don't want to kill toby but just retire him and keep the story same as the old spidey from across the spiderverse

I think if they made a Spider-Man 4 they should make him take on the Last Stand role, running from the law in his old age, eventually meeting his end. With another spider character taking over his role in that universe.

This is insane and so big!! I don’t want to get my hopes to high but I will just continue to hope that a 4th movie for Tobey happens! I also can’t believe that all 3 generations of the spider man movies are coming back into Theaters!! Tobey’s first movie comes out next month a day before my birthday!! I never got to experience his 3 movies growing up on a big screen at a movie theater. Even though I’ve watched them billions of times, it would be so cool and so much fun to see them at a movie theatre!! Such an awesome surprise!! I can’t wait!!

I'd also love to see an Amazing Spider-Man 3 and would love to see a live action Miles Morales introduced into the story I feel like Andrew Garfields Spider-Man is the closest to the Insomniac Spider-Man. I'd like to see him mentor Miles like in the games.

To be honest, Andrew Garfield returning would be a lot more satisfying. Maguire was great, but he's a bit old now to carry Spiderman on his own. If there's some sort of miracle, and Kraven isn't shit, I would love to see Garfield's Spidey vs. Kraven in a Last Hunt movie.

The original trilogy starring Tobey Maguire is one of the best superhero movies on a big screen. These movies are a huge part of my childhood. Whenever I happen to watch it on a TV I just feel so nostalgic and full of joy. The trilogy will always have a special place in my heart.
