I get the impression that the head exploding thing is not a conscious attack Saturn does, but just something that happens when someone without haki or plot armor looks him in the eyes in that form. I don't think the warning is because they're worried about the marines learning the Gorosei have monster forms, they just don't want to lose a bunch of body blockers and meat shields to friendly fire.
According to some myths, the Ushi-Oni will paralyze and suck out the soul of any person who makes eye contact with them. Since this Mythical Zoan is very likely an Ushi-Oni, given the bull horns and spider lower body, I think that's what is happening.
@@Darkgun231yep in the lore if you look at the ushi oni in the eyes it will suck out your soul. It’s likely just an ability of the df. It defiantly likely that haki can negate that ability hence why low lvl marines basically die if they look at Saturn.
I like the idea but the way it was drawn i kinda disagree. The person was clearly recoiling hard implying they were hit with a projectile from saturn as opposed to just an explosion centered on his head

@@diamondrhino64 the implication on the page is that Saturn either: 1) shot an invisible laser/beam from his eye, instantly exploding the head of that marine who didn’t have a high enough rank to look at him/look him in the eye. (So he’s punishing him for not obeying the Law he is a literal embodiment of) Oooor His DF form lets him instantly blow up someone’s head as long as they don’t have X-amount of haki to defend themselves. (Which, at this level, wouldn’t be hard? It’s Alabasta!Arc Smoker levels of power.)
Ryou isn’t acoc it’s advanced armament that can be projected and causes internal destruction. Acoc can be used for ultimate defense like Kaido and Big Mom and used to attack and pierce through acoc defense.
To be entirely fair to Kaido, Super Saiyan Bugs Bunny knocked him out in two rounds, AFTER taking on Bounce-Man, Snake-Man, Zoro, Kid, Killer, Law, Yamato, being bitten by Momonosuke and sliced by Oden's samurai. Kaido was absolutely not at full health, when Luffy decided to go Looney Tunes on his ass. So Kizaru going into one round with Gear 5 Luffy fresh and coming out a bit spent, doesn't necessarily put him above the Emperors.
@@Broducts It wasn't weakening him. It's just that when you're weakened using devil fruit abilities are harder. Like how Luffy gets too tired to even stretch. Lifting the island is basically the same as Doflamingos birdcage. It was a passive ability that when he didn't was weak enough he could no longer continue. It's just that Doflamingos stamina compared to Kaidos was way smaller that he went from having enough to Fully knocked out in one blow while Kaido ran out of strength parrying Luffys bajrang gun.

I really enjoy that Bonney is finally getting a good showing combat wise. Her power was already pretty broken if used correctly but that Near Death Experience power is downright terrifying and really makes me question the true extent of her powers. And of course her stabbing Saturn like a boss

I think that Kizaru is just ALWAYS heavily medicated. I'd like to believe that he's typically filled with anxiety, and even stutters when he speaks, but nobody knows that because as soon as he wakes up every morning, in cold sweat, he takes his "medicine" and turns into the chill admiral we all know and love.
My explanation for Kizaru is that he copes with his crippling guilt for the war crimes he's committed under orders by being blazed out of his fucking mind every second of the day. So of course he doesn't react to Luffy all that much. He was told he'd be murdering an old friend of his today, so obviously he cut something EXTRA into his weed, and now he's trying really hard not to react to anything Luffy's doing because it HAS to be the drugs, right? Poor Kizaru. If anything we should all admire how well he's keeping it together.
Alternatively, maybe he's just holding back? He's based on an actor whose most famous role is playing a character who seems dopey but is actually a traitor to the main character and a yakuza enforcer.
The ride ride fruit makes you able to tame and ride anything. The pacifistas were at that point under Vegapunks commands, but her devil fruit overwrites that command. It's a simple devil fruit and it explains why this is the only pacifista she can command as she needs to ride them to command them.
Surprised Sanji didn't sense Saturn too but maybe his special brand of woman sense is so strong that it overpowers the actual threat. Now that I think about it, that's not even unlikely.

Kaido is definitely stronger cause Kizaru ran away the entire time wasting Luffys G5 time which is limited and only got hit like once in this chapter as he landed multiple hits on Luffy from a distance while Kaido took tons of attacks and was knocked out by the strongest attacks when he was on his last legs. Like the punch through the face thing definitely seems to have done more damage when done to Kizaru than when done to Kaido.
Bluegrass' devil fruit is Nori Nori no Mi. Nori is Japanese for ride/riding. It's also a term for dried seaweed which fits her name Bluegrass. There was also a non-canon Nori Nori no Mi that allowed the user to force other people to dance until they died. Nori can also mean board or mount. So I think the best translation is the Mount Mount Fruit that allows her to "mount" other beings and turn them into a mount or ride.

I was rewatching the sabiody arc in the anime and bonney was this close to hearing kuma was on the island. Oda kept that meeting from happening by a few words clever man like the Luffy is a Zoan thing with momo Same with kizaru calling drake a marine(aka on his side) and apoo hiding to get the juicy details.

Rewatching the wano arc.. I realized the part in the prison is hilarious. Before watching your videos, I just kinda took the arcs at face value… but after watching your videos, one piece is like a whole new anime. But yeah the prison arc from the point of view of the wardens is hilarious. Here’s a prison where people are sent to have their spirits broken, starve, and work themselves to death.. is just a training arc for Luffy and Kid. Those two just… I love One Piece and Oda for existing.

Bonney picks up the sword on the ground as she charges towards Saturn. Also the past speech bubbles shown as shes heading toward Saturn may suggest that he was the one to make the call on Kuma losing his humanity.
I don't think we can put admirals at Kaido level yonko just yet. Kizaru and Luffy have been fighting 1v1 for 30, 45 mins max. Kaido was fading mfs ALL NIGHT LONG. He was getting jumped constantly and was still coming out on top. He knocked Luffy off the roof and immediately went looking for the smoke. Kaido said fuck the ones, run me them NINES. Kizaru talmbout, "I have a job to do. I can't deal with you right now," but Kaido had TIME for any situation. 1 v 9, 2 v 5, 1 v 3, didn't matter, Kaido wanted it. Only time Kaido got upset is when he had an ADVANTAGE, then he knocked off the dude that helped him. Then, he waited until super Saiyan bugs Bunny showed up to GET DRUNK. Now, if Kizaru rolls up some za mid fight, I'll consider putting him in the vicinity of Kaido's league. Until then, he's Blackbeard level at best.
About Saturn, his creature form resembles a powerful Yokai that allegedly steals your soul if you meet it's eyes. That might be why all the lower ranked soldiers to look away, they don't have the Haki to resist it.

To me the Marine who looked at ST Saturn and died seemed less like ST Saturn killed them and more like they died just by witnessing ST Saturns monster form maybe that’s a part of his power anyone who’s not strong enough will die upon looking directly at Saturn or looking him in the eye
I saw @OtomostheCrazy say that Saturn's devil fruit is probably an Ushi-oni fruit of some kind. I wanted to add to that and point out that Saturn has the black clouds around his shoulders/around his neck. The same clouds seen in awakened Zoan fruits. Luffy's nika form (His are white though), Lucci and Kakku's awakened forms, (Maybe Kaido's dragon form too, he had black fur things on his back. Could have been the awakened clouds and Oda did tease an alternate fish form that Kaido could have had. It's a bit of a stretch though.) Just wanted to put in my two cents.

my best guess on why Saturn let Bonni stab him is because he knows its not effective. Maybee he is imortal, maybe his abilities nullify that type of damage, who knows. What I do think is, his devil fruit is likely another God lvl devel fruit like the Luffies fruit. If you look at them, they even have the same cloud arc over their back, his is just black.
I've been thinking since Kaido that Luffy turning an enemy into gum and changing their shape would have looked much more terrifying on a human than on a dragon. And it is ! Him putting his fist through Kizaru's head and changing its shape is freaky as hell. Imagine him pulling the eyeball thing on a giant like idk Big Mom, or just human-form Kaido. 🤢

As far as I can tell I think Saturn's devil fruit is a zoan based around the japanese Spider Crab. They are large sea dwelling crabs with long spider like limbs that people believed would drag fisherman and sailors into the depths and then devour them. I don't know what exactly his powers would amount to but that seems thematically on point for the world of one piece.
I think it's actually the Ushi Oni, a bull-headed spider demon from Japanese Myth. Others have also pointed out the similarity to this particular creature.

I actually had a dnd character with Bonneys fruit, he was kind of like Lao G, but his name was Lao A and he exxentially kicked people into babies. Obscure as all hell but he got what was coming to him when stepping up to a yonko.
I think part of Jupiter's downfall will be underestimating the rest of the straw hats. We've seen the 5 leaders talk about luffy and how much of a threat he is, but no mention of his companions.
