Exactly . Where did the time go pretty much summed up that videogame company's were getting more money hungry soon as they started updating gaming consoles which made me wanna stick to retro gaming.
@@mrxdo26 Spider-Man: "I'm gonna tear you to pieces!" Sheesh, Spidey was taking no prisoners on that day. Probably why that thug ended up dead at the end.
"Why would you defend these ppl they wouldn't lift a finger for you"- Green Goblin "Well since they can't fly or bend steel I can't really blame them."- Spider-Man
I want to buy a ps2 just so I can play this game again, I found it the other day with 10 pages of cheats inside the cover printed from when I was 7 hahaha.
This was the first game I ever beat on my own as a kid back in the 2000s. Now my younger brother played the newest Spider Man game on the ps4 and *that* was the first game he has beaten on his own now in the 2020s. Funny how it all cycled back around.
When I was a kid and I played this on the original Xbox I always listen to this before I started playing the game it was very awesome 👍 😊 love it my childhood video game
This tune didnt lose a single point of its magic in the last 20+ years. I would literally chill in the menu all the time and just listen to this masterpiece.
Fun Fact: This game was originally going to be the third installment of the awesome PS1 games, but the release of the raimi movie forced sony to make it a tie in game. Reused assets from the original third game's development are still here. The three punch and kick combos are exactly the same animations as the ps1 games. Web gloves, web yank, web dome, and web ball are reused. The L1 targeting system is exactly the same. And also, villains that didn't appear in the ps1 games appear here since their levels were already completed and ported to the raimi game instead. Those villains are Kraven (Xbox exclusive) and Vulture. Green Goblin was also supposed to appear as the main villain since he wasn't allowed to be used in the first two games due to the raimi movie preventing neversoft from getting the license to use him
My parents bought me this game when I was a little kid. All these years later I still got it in my closet. Might brush the dust off my old consoles and give this gem a go again.
Back when you got complete games on launch day, no patches, no DLC, no micro transactions, and all of the cosmetics and extras were not only unlockable but cheat codes let you unlock them for free! Kids today will never experience an golden era of gaming like we did as kids.
If it was the second one then it would've been boring playing with the other one that has the same swinging mechanics. You cannot expect something that could bored the hell out of you when the next spiderman game comes out with the same mechanics.
Fucking loved this game as a kid, back when I got this this was the shit, same with the sequel which was superb! Miss the good ol' days when these type of games were around.
Ah, Spider-man. I grew up with the movies and didn't play the games until the past 3-4 years. But I remember always watching those "Hints and Tips" from the first movie on the second DVD all the time..... It's still memories...... :)
Chasing Shocker thru the sewer...the good old days when you had to buy a memory card and I think this one for the ps2 had a memory card slot in the case
Ahh, the memories I had with this game back when it first released in late '02. I just had my birthday, and this was one of the gifts. I still treasure it to this very day for my PS2. 12 years and counting!!!! :D
