@@faiz486 ironically, the adult cats are outside and I can’t go in the room with the baby kitties, because my sis and her friend are sleeping in there.
Used to play spidey games so much in childhood but then adulting happened. Thankfully i was finally able to get a PS5 last year and this was one of the first games I played and even Platinumed! Anybody thinking of buying it now on PC should just go for it, it’s a masterpiece!
@@steff97official yeah same it's already cracked so why buy it... but we should buy if we have enough money coz it's actually worth if you're playing it for first time on pc, but I don't and most of us Indians don't so we pirate
I’m so glad we’re living in a time where PC players have a chance to play a majority of incredible games that were only available on consoles. This game is worth playing on every platform. I can’t wait to see the mods that will come out of this gem.
Yeahhh, and that's why PC BETA male like you should be grateful because PlayStation God has just granted another one of his PlayStation exclusive games for you play.
I'm a 98 kid and Spiderman 2 (2004) was my stuff when I was a small kid. I remember that ps2 game and the fact that you can select the original suit from those movies almost right away is really awesome. I'm 8 hours in and honestly this is one of the coolest games I've ever played, had me literally smiling
One of the few times I bought a game on the first day in years. I love it! The mechanics, graphics, combat, immersion, and progression are on point. This game would be great if all I did was swing around the city all day. This game makes me feel like a kid again.
I gotta say, these huge Triple A games that come to Steam with a Steam Deck verification (and actually does work well) is beyond my wildest dreams. If I’m home I can play it on my beefy gaming rig with every single option turned on with Ray tracing and the works, but then when I leave I can continue playing the same game on my Steam Deck, right where I was, no beat missed. Of course with lower graphics settings and a lower framerate… but I CAN DO IT and that to me is truly mind blowing being a kid of the N64 days and then taking my game boy on the go. To see how far it’s really come is freaking awesome!
This is my dream come true. I have been dreaming about it since the psp days. Being able to continue playing your pc games on deck when you are out and come back home to play in your overpowered rig
@@fakhrulasyraf14 I am a store manager at Cumberland Farms (it’s a gas station + convenience store combo) and some weeks I have less time, and some I have quite a bit more
I have one of those ridiculous 49 inch monitor that's 32:9 aspect ratio and all I can say is the sense of rush you feel while web swinging can be overwhelming for the first time. It is far more immersive than what I experienced on my console version. At times when I am falling down, I can feel it in my pit of my stomach as if I am really falling. It is by far the closest feeling you can get to with VR experience.
To clarify; Nixxes did not DO the Horizon: Zero Dawn port, they worked on some post-launch patches to add in DLSS, FSR and shader compilation during gameplay. Virtuos was the initial porter, which released with many issues; Virtuos fixed most of them and Nixxes after that also fixed the last few issues and thus added new features. Nixxes was thus not responsible for the initial port-issues.
nixxes is pretty good at portinig games, the tomb raider games are well optimised imo, coz i played them on my low spec laptop quite a while ago and they ran way better than expected
@The Rotten💯 thanks for the response, and I found out that yes, you're correct. Shitty thing is, miles morales ps5 standard edition is free with ps extra (which I have) but not the special edition to get the original spider-man
The pc version is the first time of me playing the game at all, and I must say with the 5 hours I have played so far I really like it, and itch my nostalgia from spiderman 2 on the PS2 days
I bought it yesterday. Ive wracked up 12 hours already. This game has already made it into my top 5 games for sure. The devs nailed the combat. The devs nailed the city traversal. The devs nailed the story(so far at least). The devs nailed the bonus content(holy shit theres so much to do.) this game is without a doubt one of the best games ive ever played and it will keep me comin back for more.
Nice! Its out but is it on sale? I refuse to pay 60 bucks for a 20 dollar game. Thats why I can't wait for it to be on sale. Sony is rich enough and I'm po. So poor I can't even afford the last o or r.
This game has been so much fun for me. I haven't been using ray tracing since im more of a 144hz kind of guy but the game still looks insane, max settings at 2k and running 110-150 frames depending on where i am is gorgeous to look at.
This is my first time playing and so far it pretty darn fun. Although, when it comes to swinging it feels awkward for the moment. I keep getting residual muscle memory of the web swinging in Spider-man 2 .
First time ever playing it on PC. Having an absolute blast swinging around the city. Combat is solid, visuals and audio AAA quality. Especially the animations on Spidey. All this on my 3080Ti and ultrawide monitor. It's glorious. 👏
@@rudypujenkins6890 I've played for about 3 hours and not had many issues. I recall seeing some odd transparency effects glitching out in one cutscene but that's about it.
@@RageQuittersUKOfficial I have a glitch where if I have to much fps going into a spider hack games crashes have to limit it to 60 I’m guessing you don’t have the problem?
I was a bit impatient during covid times and already finished this game on PC via PS Now streaming service. I even revamped controls myself for keyboard and mouse to work. There was a slight delay and image quality wasn't perfect, but still had a blast.
I've wanted to play this game since release in 2018 - almost bought a PS5 just for it, so glad I waited as on a 3080 RTX is fantastic, haven't had any glitches at all save for 2 freezes on the loading screen (fortunately I didn't lose any progress). AWESOME game for sure!
Y'all PC peasants & Xbots should be grateful because PlayStation God has just granted another one of his PlayStation exclusive games for you play and enjoy since he has heard your pathetic crying.
I haven’t been able to play a Spider-Man since ps2. I built a computer a little over a year ago and now I can finally play again. I have played for 3 hours today and I am blown away by this game. It’s running at 130 fps at 1080p and looks like a game that came out this year. Very happy and looking forward to playing though fully!
For anyone else who may be experiencing bugs, for me they only happened with the Dualsense controller. Once I switched over to my Xbox Elite 2 they disappeared. I was experiencing a terrible audio bug where it would just cut out completely, but if I hit a keyboard key it would come back until I activated the PS5 controller again. I was also having trouble with the triangle/circle combo for the finishers not firing properly much of the time. With the Xbox controller I've had no audio glitches so far and finishers are working just fine. I think there just may be some problems with how they implemented the Dualsense integration on the PC port. Also I strongly recommend manually saving every 30 minutes or so and alternating at least 2 different save files.
I had an almost identical visual glitch on the bag in that scene with Otto as well. Really distracting. But hands down, this is my favorite game to come out in a while
I’ve been avoiding everything about this game for the last four odd years until I had a chance to play it for myself and it was well worth the wait this game was incredible the story was amazing and every time I thought the story was over they just kept throwing more stuff at me to keep me invested I loved every minute of playing this game and it was definitely well worth the way it, also that Halloween mission was so funny and got me in the Halloween spirit
I didn't own a PS4 nor had any intentions on owning a PS4 since I had my PC. I avoided this story like the plague for some reason, but I am extremely thankful I did because it was great to experience this first hand.
Same man I was avoiding the story of this game for ages even though I never had a proper plan of getting a ps4/5 and then when I got a pc recently I ended up buying the game and absolutely loving it
First of all this is the first Spider-Man’s Ive played since the the original PlayStation game and I’m loving the level up in evolution! Aye man I pre purchased Spider-Man and just got to play it yesterday and I’ve gotta say I am a huge fallout and assassins creed fan so Spider-Man’s open world do what you want and level up as you go is addicting to me! Can’t believe I’ve been watching your videos for awhile over a year and forgot to sub!
Gameranx you are the best. I'm so proud of you an your team for continuing with this channel for YEARS. Obviously its great revenue but i appriciate all the hours of work you put into editing an gaming to provide us these videos.
This port is fun and it looks good. The only issue I ran into is some of the vehicles having some really bizarre graphic glitches but I’m sure patches can easily fix it.
@@wdililn - it's weird that more people aren't reporting this though. My pc is top notch so it should be able to take whatever this game has to throw at it.
@@MrDevoe - Prevailing belief is that this game is leaning heavily on the cpu when it comes to Ray tracing and the other frills. It may have nothing to do with your graphics card's potency.
Damn dude i watched the first video released today and you mentioned you needed to work on this video. I didnt realize you would have it out just a few hours later lol. You guys are awesome and work hard. Keep up the great work.
I got 100% and the platinum trophy for this game twice, and I STILL love playing it just to swing around whenever I’m bored. This game is amazing and even though I don’t have I pc, I’m glad it’s there for the people who don’t play console (or at least don’t play on PlayStation)
I bought the game yesterday because I love the game so much, and it’s been like 4 years since I’ve played it on my PS4 but after I got a new pc recently, I had to try this game on it. It’s so fun! - plus, mods are available for more fun!
I played it on PS4 but just couldnt help myself. I bought right before the day it was supposed to be launched. after 2 sessions of 10 hours this game runs smoothly and looks even better than before and on Medium details - no ray tracing no, no antialiasing but rest to medium -- and no crash or hang or anything major. the only issues ive had is that when you slowly crawl up a building and reach its roof sometimes it wont hop on (or on side of the builds i will not be able to crawl to the next portion because its has little edge to it that acts like an invisible walll. However they're not that big of a deal. i definetly recommend this game to anyone who hasnt played it and has a decent pc (doesnt have to be highest spec) for the same reason you guys have recommended it :)
Yes it's says please update ur graphics driver then I click ok. But the game opened for me and its working in medium settings smoothly. So, do I need to update my driver? Is it necessary? Bcoz when I click play in steam everytime it just asks to update but game will run smoothly.
I absolutely love this game! Just swinging around for hours is some of the best things ever. Story is great too and not too short. Only thing I'd like is a harder difficulty, like finer dodge windows and enemies having alittle more hb or blocking more. No HP sponge or something like that. Just so you have to think more when playing, instead of just dodge and spam attacks. Something the modding community could maybe make? ;)
Yeah my only real gripe was the difficulty. I played on Spectacular on my first run and boss fights did not feel like boss fights at all. They were a lot easier than doing waves of enemies, and that was not too challenging either. I don't think I died in a single boss fight, especially if I had the Stark Suit cause with that I could beat some of them without even moving a finger lol.
I just stopped playing after 12 hours plus breaks . It's pretty Amazing 😊 . Love playing with the photo mode and rtx. I was shocked when I could see Spidey's reflection in a taxi window and see the taxi reflected in his Spidey lenses
Alright, this is one of the few games I pre-order without any thought. I just wanted to play it so badly. So happy it turned out to a really solid port. Over 10 hours on a mix of medium and high visual settings and no big bugs. Super happy
Thanks for the very enjoyable review, it's really fun to see Jake geeking out over the game like that. I still remember with great fondness playing the first open world Spider-Man games where you had the epic Bruce Campbell as a (very sarcastic) narrator. Going to send a link to this video to my brother, he's an even bigger Spider-Man fan than me and this should convince him to give this tittle a try.
all puzzles can be skipped on the remaster, there is an option you can enable on the games menu. now THAT is a smart move. this game is even more incredible on pc, I was so waiting for this
spiderman used to be my favorite video games/super hero growing up and then I got a PC and havent played them in over 10 years, having this game downloading along with uncharted releasing soon has me feeling excited like a kid again, its going to be amazing playing this.
It's hard to say what i'm think in english. I'm so happy to finally have this game on pc, i can swing over the city like in Spiderman 3 but without bugs. The best game ever
I'm so excited to finally play this on my PC🙏🙏🙏 never had a PlayStation( grew up on Xbox with halo) but I played the og Spiderman on GameCube and loved it so much
I've been gliding around in arkam knight waiting for this to drop. nothing beats the thrill of freestyle swinging through the city. Just crazy how they can translate that feeling to a controller in hand but boi is it great
Jake and falcon Love the vids keep them coming. I am so glad I waited, longtime pc player never thought I see the day but this game is freaking awesome. That first mission against Fisk, the moves the set pieces it’s as real as being spider-man as I will ever get to! Amazing game! Sony keep them coming I will buy!! Love this game can’t wait for Miles!
So glad PC community is getting the opportunity to play this game. I hope they don't sleep on modding the hell out of it. (We need a comic-looking world mod for this game. )
I definitely want to see a cooperative mod where you can play with your friends as multiple spidermen doing dumb stuff with your friends as Spider-Men around the city
I pre-ordered it and I'm glad to say it was not a mistake. It's my first time playing and I only got to play for 3 and a half hours today due to it being released late in the day in Europe but I enjoyed it. I also heard that Spiderman: Miles Morales is coming to PC before Christmas so I am excited for that !!
i use a switch pro controller most of the time and it worked without me having to rebind anything and showed all the correct button prompts, i didnt expect that
4:08 I thought that was just my graphics drivers being out of date lmao. Other games were having graphics problems and that was the cause so I assumed this one was too
I played this for the first time today. My pc is not great so Im running on low, and I dont have a controller so im using m&k. Its amazing. It still looks great. The gameplay is amazing. I got used to the m&k controlls very quickly. If you have never played this game, give it a try. Edit: I just beat the game. Absolutely amazing. The story is incredible, the gameplay is great, even on keyboard and mouse. Again, im on low and it looks Really good. The final mission is awesome. 10/10 Im gonna buy a controller and give it another playthrough very soon.
@@skrimpyjr hmm thats wierd i have a 1070 with all very low settings and my game crashes everytime I play, I havent been able to play more than 30 minutes without it crashing
@@spillxd8948 I have a 6600 and I get about 45 to 60 frames when swinging around on low. Dont really have many issues with it except the occasional graphics glitch. I also have my fov all the way up.
I love how those guards taunt and try to fight Spider-Man not realizing this guy can lift in the tonnage easily. Wish this was something that was reflected in game maybe with some internal Spidey dialogue, "These goons don't really think they can fight me right, RIGHT?"
they actually can fuck him up if he is uncareful specially if there are mulitple attacks from different angles, but yeah its spider-man he is the hero, not some random goon
@@fkitsnobu guns can. I don't think batons and punches would like "hurt" him. Unless they are using electricity or something. But well...whatever suits the story
I bought the game as it was released, should have pre ordered it, but I didn't want the extra bells and whistles since they can be unlocked later on. Waited 3 and half hours of downloading and installing and when I finally got into the menu, the music the graphics, the cinematic scenes. They were everything a Spider-Man fan could ask for. Combat is fluid, easy to understand hard to master ( or maybe that was me being bad at reading the dodge windows?) Plenty of upgrades to improve combat, from suits to webshooter gadgets to help you find a playstyle you like. The Web-swinging omg there are no words to describe it, other than play the game. If you have played other Spider-Man games before Insomniac's Spider-Man, you will instantly feel the massive improvement on the movement as Spider-Man swings from building to building, exchanging speed for height or vice versa, zip lining and launching of objects for increased speed and distance. The on screen effects and the feeling of the adrenaline pumping adds to the immersion that you ARE Spider-Man. In short once you have a taste of the web swinging you do not want to go back, it's like getting a second/third/X monitor. So far I have spent 4.3 hours on the game and I'm loving every moment, there are tons of content in the form of collectables, gang bases and of course the story. But I really spent most of my time swinging around because insomniac has created a rich open world and a definitive model for Web-swinging for you to explore to your heart content. And why shouldn't I?
Combat is the same as Batman Arkham knight. Heavy, light, combos, dodge, counter. Exact same 1:1 replica easy on the surface but mustering not an easy task
got it yesterday and i love it , been obsessed with it since i saw it back in the PS4 day , just swing around itself is fun ; it bring back old memory when i play the amazing spider man 2
One of the issue i encounter is: while web swinging the character sometimes magically inside the building, and there is no way out, unless u reload the game/last checkpoint
As a ps4/5 and pc owner, I'm Super happy for all my pc gamers that get to finally enjoy this game! Can't wait for all the ridiculous (or fucking awesome) mods we'll end up getting 😂
I had the weirdest visual bug that was ironically from the same section of the game they use for the tech demo, the person I was streaming to described it as "Oh my god your webs are becoming chunks of Ice"
I think the game overall is awesome I enjoyed the gameplay and the graphics but It took me less than a day to end it with secondary missions and collectables too, so its a bit short, also I had some weird bug where the npcs stop talking during cuscenes so i had to reopen the game couple times
When you mentioned mods for the games intially, I just dismissed it. However when you mentioned venom, I couldn't stop smiling. Honestly, that's the next best thing to a venom game.
I really love this game, waited for this to come out for a long time. I have an issue where my game crashes if I turn ray tracing on and while I only have an rtx 2060 I still hoped to play with it on. Otherwise the game is fantastic and hope more games get ported to pc
@@puppy.shorts turns out I had an issue with my driver's. For some reason they would not update so I had to clean install new ones. Now the game is even better
I'm just impressed that there's finally a game (on PC anyway) that is able to challenge the traversal system from the Batman Arkham games. Just like I could glide for days in Gotham City, I've been already swinging for couple of hours as a Spider-man, loving every second of it.
I noticed there’s a new gpu driver update on the nvidia geforce experience today specifically stating upgrades for Spiderman for the ray tracing and dlss among other things.
I never got a chance to play it on PS as I refused to buy a system for one game. However I am a big Spidey fan as well and I'm loving it. One thing I wanted to point out there is you mentioned the "Boring puzzles" you know there is an option to skip them right? I saw it on the title screen before I jumped in.
Yay!! I bought this a couple years ago on PS4 and have played a bit and enjoyed it, but I've never liked the Playstation controllers. Xbox controllers just fit my hands better and feel more comfortable. Went so far as to look into adaptors to use Xbox controllers or even 3rd party PS4 controllers that were, modeled on the Xbox design, but I always struggled with them. The games languished almost unplayed for years. I'd fire it up periodically, play for a while and then the controller and the cramps in my fingers would turn me off it. Looking forward to picking this up for my PC and being able to play it with my PC/Xbox controller, with a decent graphics card, on my gaming rig. Hopefully, the sequel doesn't take quite as long to make it to PC. This and the FF7 remake release on PC has pretty much guaranteed I'll be skipping a PS5 for the foreseeable future.
Check out stored tailored towards the fighting game community for adapters. They need them because arcade sticks are expensive and some fighting games are console specific. Should be able to find a good Xbox->PS adapter with them.
I wonder how will this game perform on my 2017 laptop. Hey gameranx pls try including performance reviews for older, low spec machine if possible. It will really helpful for ppl belonging into my demographic.
I may just be crazy but the swinging somehow looks fast around the 2:40-2:50 mark. Like the uncapped frame rate allows for a faster swinging experience
The visuals on this game are seriously upgraded compared to the PS4 version, and a pretty good bump from the PS5, too. 4K 60+ FPS with all the Ray Tracing goodies turned up to 11 is jaw dropping.
