people always forget shocker has a pretty damn good record against spiderman in the comics, beating him quite a few times and also having a lot less trouble than other villains.
This game is a dream come true. I'm a hardcore Spidey fanboy, and this game just feels like it was made with so much love. The developers are clearly long time Spider-Man fans.
I just LOVE how Spider-Man just would not shut up throughout the bank fight. Perfect representation of his quips when it comes to him fighting villains.
I really hope they do more with Shocker in the next game. And bring in Mysterio and Chameleon to have more than easter egg roles. Always loved those characters.
@@BenDaGoat It's not even just in this continuity. He was an odd man out in the original Sinister Six too. At the end of the day, he's just a crook and that's why Spider-MAn kinda goes easy on him.
This was the most epic, game-changer, and very super over-the-top action-packed Superhero comicbook video-game fight scene I've ever played and seen because chase scenes in video-games are my most favourite and greatest actions in the video-game.
Hope he shows up in the next game, even in a minor role. This is the best portrayal of Shocker anyone's done in a long time. Edit: I'm never wishing for anything ever again.

Shocker wouldn't have anything to do with them he's no murderer just a simple Robber with advanced tech like he told Spidey he didn't want to hurt him if he didn't have to.
@@notavailable8201 Yeah, the reason Herman's considered a lowly d-lister supervillain in Spidey's rogues gallery is almost solely because he doesn't actively hunt Spider-Man down, only fighting when he has no other choice. During such times where he's pushed into a corner against him, Shocker has a penchant for laying a pretty hefty challenge against Spider-Man, especially when compared to some of his bigger-named foes. Hell, due to the nature of his weapons, he could theoretically one-shot black-suit Spider-Man.
Yeah in prison when he first made the prototype for his gauntlet he destroyed his prison cell and his neighbors cells nearly killing himself from the Falling bricks he made a suit that could withstand the vibrations he is a genius practically. He built a building destroying cannon that used vibrations in prison and then when he escaped he built a suit while on the run
Shocker is the guy you put in a Spider Man game if you want a nice looking, but extremelt easy boss fight. He'll never be utilized as a top tier villain.
Shocker is actually really underrated. He’s a beast. Out of all the villains Kraven killed Herman gave him the best fight. Vulture Scorpion even Electro got no diffed by Kraven but Herman fought hard to stay alive which earned Kraven’s respect. Most of all he doesn’t fight to kill or prove himself superior like the other villains. He fights because he has to. Imagine if Shocker actually had a killer instinct
Spider Man’s a strong guy. In the comics, he’s held up a beam holding part of the daily bugle, lifted trains over his head, withstood building sized explosions from the inside, and split a building whilst underwater.

Cali AirmanB17 shocker mainly robs banks which makes him lessor of a threat compared to other villains. That is why he gets special treatment from spider man, who knows him for many years at this point and goes easy on him knowing he is nothing he can’t manage. Spider man calling shocker by his name just further proves how relaxed and unthreatened spider man feels towards him.
But I also think that after so many years of them two fighting they developed some form of friend\foe relationship. That mainly applies to spider man though)
Spider-Man has been doing boss chases way before the Arkham games. Also, at least you chase Shocker once here and then have a boss fight with him later instead of chasing him 3 times and that's all you do with him like Firefly in Arkham Knight.
