I'm guessing the creators behind this demo were probably fans of Danganronpa, but wanted to see how it would play out if the protag was the blackened and actually wanted to get away with the murder. (Basically, an inverse of you-know-who.) I'm only speculating, of course. There's just a bunch of similarities that I just can't not make the comparison. Also, Undertale has really spoiled me, as I keep seeing Grudge as a biker Papyrus.
