Honestly, I love Turnabout Storm / Elements of Justice. It works a lot better than you expect it to, and it actually engages really well with the core themes of *both* franchises. What happens when serious crimes start occurring in idyllic, peace-loving Equestria? What happens when the relentless effort to reveal the truth reveals unpleasant realities about certain ponies? It actually challenges the narrative of unbreakable trust and friendship between the mane cast in MLP in a meaningful way. Moreover, I think it also builds on the characterization of Phoenix and his companions in a great way too. It's super funny to see how the AA cast react in different ways to being transported to Equestria. I also love the direction they took with Phoenix's character, where he *finally* gets to actually act as a wiser, more experienced mentor figure to Athena and the junior members of the Wright Anything Agency, and be a real mentor figure for them and other new OCs. EoJ delivered on the most natural character development direction for Phoenix that I was hoping to see after Apollo Justice, and made the characters from the Apollo trilogy better in my mind by fleshing out their characters more. (Saying all this as someone who did not like the new direction of AA at the time Apollo Justice was originally released.) Phoenix is also just super wholesome and inspiring in general in EoJ. So yeah, it's a little rough around the edges, but I absolutely think the EoJ crossover is worthwhile.
I wouldn't count yourself wrong just yet. The most obvious explanation behind Capcom's releasing remastered collections of all the AA games over the last few years would be to renew awareness of the AA franchise in the gaming community. From a business standpoint, it is a natural preparatory step for the announcement of a new game and the continuation of a franchise that has been semi-dormant for a little bit. We can hope! And even if nothing comes from this, I still think it's awesome Capcom has now given us HD collections of every AA game on easily accessible modern consoles.
You should talk about/Watch Cartoons in danganronpa! It's a really underrated project that doesn't get too much attention! It crosses over different cartoons like Gravity Falls, Invader Zim, Powerpuff Girls and Rick and Morty! The project is up to part 1 of the 1st trial of Chapter 1!
It possible aa7 will be athena game but Phoenix will be the one in marketing, i mean you could argue spirit of justice is apollo game yet they use phoenix Wright for title character so yeah aa7 will Phoenix wright ace Attorney whatever it subtitle name but actually it about athena
AA7 is taking so long to come out because it's actually Saul Goodman: Ace Attorney and they're painstakingly recreating all 6 seasons of the show, trust me guys
Cartoons in Danganronpa Ronpa and Friends Danganronpa F Shattered Hope Brave Danganronpa Coward's Paradise. These are the fangans that have inspired and impacted me the most, in fact; I'm working on a Cartoons in Danganronpa unofficial Sequel, I'm in the process of writing the script but still going back and forth on the cast, specifically 4 of them, I can't decide if I want these 4 particular characters or if I should replace them.
Now that we have basically every game re-released/localized (*cough cough* PLvPW *cough cough*) i think theres a really likely chance we get aa7 or an announcement this or next year
Phoenix vs Klavier without the Forgery Business is something I still want to see. Also One Khuri’an Case with each game. Also Female Prosecutors name idea since Capcom loves Name Puns, a name idea: Ivy Gacha (I’ve Got Ya). If it is a male, Ivan Gacha (I have Got ya)
I played the fan translated second game with a friend from start to finish! Great stuff! And great that Capcom gave both Investigations titles the HD treatment even after all these years!
Much appreciated. I'm a fan but can't find many games like it. I'd like to suggest Kimi Ga Shine(your turn to die). Its most done other than the last chapter and you can get it free or on steam for cheap. Besides being Danganronpa like, the writers focus on how the characters things like death effect the other characters which i thought was dope. You can really see the toll it takes on their mental health.
As a huge AA fan who finished TGAAC back in 2022 and has played all AA games but no.4, I used to check in once a few months on the likelihood on AA7, and was always unsurprised there was nothing in the works. However when I heard the AAI collection coming, I was over the moon - probably more so than at a potential AA7, as I've never played AAI2 or seen any gameplay! So my love and faith has been completely restored and makes me think that a potential AA7 is now likely coming more than ever! I agree with your assessment that we'll definitely hear something in the next year. Capcom didn't wait for a Capcom event to announce TGAAC (as far as I remember) so it could be a couple months after AAI collection release
Bc I didn't have money for After effects or any editing app (and bc I only had a phone) I tried making the whole thing on Alight Motion (it wasn't that bad but i got lazy)

One thing you forgot to mention was the voice acting. Yeah, it's just the Objection shout (or Overuled for Courtney/Gavelle), but the fans still got fond of the voices. I doubt Capcom's localization team went their way to search for the fans who VA'd the fan translation (ProZD as Gregory Edgeworth was a very fitting cast).
I hope most of these get finish. I am even trying to kick off my own fan gan but i want to get everything ready before starting to post that on youtube.
DANGANRONPA DESPAIR TIME AND DANGANRONPA HEARTLESS DECEIT MENTIONED!! i flipped through the comments and didn't see one of my favourites ever brought up, that one being danganronpa: theafter. it's a fangan in full japanese, BUT it just got an (updated) english translation, so i ABSOLUTELY recommend it if you haven't seen it yet. it's AMAZINGLY written and although the fangan is only on ch3 right now, the next episode is likely either releasing this month or next month! you should watch it if you have the time, it's SO worth it
ive always wanted to make a fanganronpa (og cast) but i never knew IF rpgmaker was an option, and if it is, how class trials would work in rpgmaker, this is good to know tho
I love Fanganronpa's SO much. Danganronpa 69, 96, Lapse, Cartoons in Danganronpa, all of em' are SO good. I'm making my own fangan on Ao3, and I've seen SO many really, really good ones on that site. Some of them are... Eh. But most of them are really, really good! But my fave by FAR is Danganronpa 69, that one is really good and special to me.
If I’ve got one suggestion it’s defiance chapter 3. It would be 4, but that’s not finished yet :/ The daily life of 4 is still immaculate, but the plot really starts ramping up in chapter 3.
I recommend Cartoons in Danganronpa and Project Eden's Garden! Eden's Garden looks the most realistically like a canon Danganronpa game and Cartoons in Danganronpa has the same atmosphere as Danganronpa but still has the cartoonish feel as well. I am actually making predictions videos for CiDR as well.
