4:07 Literally the most helpful and mind-blowing pro-tip!!! This really changed my life my friend, the amount of insight you have on problem-solving. I have no idea how you thought of that! Wow!
Thank you so much for sharing! Your tips were really helpful in this case and my MacBook M3 was fine. Just one note based in my experience - if your MacBook is working I wouldn’t take it to the Apple Store to be checked. I did this and as soon as I told them I spilled water on it (just a tiny bit that I removed really quickly and I am pretty sure none actually got inside) they gave me a bill of £1500 without even looking at it. The MacBook was working fine before I took it to Apple with no issues, I just wanted them to check it. They changed every single component inside and only kept the screen and outer cover. There is NO WAY everything was damaged. What I would recommend is follow all the steps, leave it to dry and if it is working to just keep using it until it actually stops working (if it does stop working). Apple will change everything anyway so you might as well wait until your MacBook has ACTUAL damage
DO NOT PUT IT IN A TENT POSITION. PUT THE KEYBOARD FACE DOWN. This was what my logic told me but I listened to these stupid videos only to have my intuition reassured by an expert later.
@@blck.daxielle literally the keyboard, the other way around. So you'd need to have the laptop open, flip it over and have the keyboards make contact with whatever surface you have it on throughout
I already tried to turn it back on lol but now I got it sitting to dry I’ll leave it there for two days hopefully it works because it wasn’t even a lot of water hhh
Maybe you need to change the title, not 7 ways to fix macbook.. but 7 ways to prevent further damage on your macbook.. just giving my honest opinion based on your video.. cause there is nothing you teach about fixing a macbook, only a cloth wiping the lcd, a screw driver on the battery.
the same problem i have, i spilled about 1 gulp of water then i immediately tilted it then dried it with towel. for now its folded. did yours work and has no problem afterwards?
spilled water on my MacBook but I immediately dried it off using a towel. It was turned on and was working when it happened so I shut it off. After a few minutes, I checked it and it's still working, trackpad is still smooth and also nothing wrong with the speaker. What should I do with it?
@@viktor2476 hello. It has been a week since it happened and nothing happened to it and it still works the same. i just let it dry for two days, keyboard facing down on a dry towel that's on a table
hi! my water bottle leaked and the water got inside my macbook screen. It's been five days and it still works but it's slowing running low on battery. Does the water go away on its own? Did yours still work fine?
@@harshavardhansreedhar3330 it is, fortunately. keys are functioning but they sometimes get stuck, while speakers are working. however, i noticed that it runs out of battery faster than before but I'm not sure if it is due to the water incident or was caused by my continuous usage
Hi, nearly half glass of water got spilled on my MacBook Pro the bottle cap got opened accidentally in my bag. I realised it and immediately took it out, wiped and dried it with paper napkin. It was on when the water got spilled but later it turned off. I have not tried turning it on. Kept it in a tent position. When should I try checking if it is working or not? Please help, I’m really worried!
Update please I have the exact same problem just now. Apple care technician said that the best thing to do is just turning it off leave it for a few days and pray
@@apurvavirodkar mine worked, there were some damage but at least for now it is working. If there is anything I can tell u, dont rush into paying a lot to replace stuffs immediately. Take it into some highly rated apple fixing facilities and ask them to assess the damage, maybe with the primary functions like keyboard, speaker, camera, files,... If your screen has water in it, try using it normally and if you are lucky it will go away itself and u dont have to pay for the new screen...At least thats what im doing rn and im typing to you from my damaged macbook. Good luck!
@@gl1tz770 actually its M1 WHENEVER YOU OPEN LID OR TOUCH ANY KEY BY MISTAKE IT STARTS AUTOMATICALLY. SO SEVERAL TIMES IT STARTED WHILE WIPING. BUT AFTER WIPING I DID NOT USE IT FOR A DAY. STILL ITS WORKING FLAWLWSSLY SO I AM THE LUCKY ONE WHO GOT OUT OF IT!! HOPE SAME FOR YOU
Hi there, My laptop batteries were running low and accidentally water spilled on it. Now there is no charge no my laptop to turn on . I got that we should not turn it on for 2-3 days. However can I charge my laptop after 2-3 days? Thank you in advance :)
it's been two months so I assume u plugged it in by now but when they say to not turn it on they say that so everything can dry, including the charging port, so I would charge it after that given time yea, although me personally if I don't need it I don't think i'll turn it on
Listen guys. Spilt bout half a water maybe two gulps on it. Stood it up on two crates so it could reach my AC in the kitchen. Bout 15 20 min later it’s back on 👍🏾
@@Thuggathugga1 it’s new idk though I got it a year ago but my shit cracked now so I had to get a USB-C hdmi adapter for it so it can display to my tv smh
Seems like some water entered the lcd screen. Everything works but the water spots can be seen on the bottom left corner. Would the water evaporate over a period of time and the screen is back to normal?
@@RC44444 @HammerGamingHDRO Hi.. I placed the lcd part that was water damaged in a bag filled with rice for 3 days. All the water spots disappeared perfectly. So for anyone else reading this is a workaround tried and tested solution if you have just one corner affected.
What if i press the power button several times after a few hours of water entering my computer through the keyboard? is it still fixable? i can see some parts fried i think.
My son spilled a whole glass of Pepsi on my MacBook Pro. He didn’t mean to and he immediately started crying. I was upset as I am a music producer and that was my main computer, but I have a time machine backup and I just gave him and hug and let him know I wasn’t mad at him.. he knows drinks aren’t allowed in my studio but he was coming to give me a hug before he left with my ex wife. I was upset but I didn’t let him know it bc it would crush him. I dropped it off at a repair facility, but I don’t think they got to it quickly enough so even the hard drive was toast.
@@merjendovranmyradova it’s an expensive paperweight. I bought a 2015 Mac book pro for 500 dollars and had a computer shop migrate my last time machine backup from the old machine. (Time machine was on an external ssd)
damn 😔💀 kudos to you! no need to ruin 2 things at once ( your son feeling and the laptop) i always been cautious 😔 but this time the fing air conditioner leaked! and it was right above my desk! my heart stopped i hope it would be fine as i can't afford a new laptop. currently wainting for 1 day and I'm gonna brought to professional tomorrow it's not much but I'm worried none the less
my son spilt water on my keyboard everything works fine but backlight doesnt work anymore , ive tried all settings and i have also reset laptop cntrol management system ? have i fried the lights or do you think it will start working in a few weeks???
Im so worried 30 minutes ago I split water out of my mouth cuz I watched something very funny. What I did immediately, rotated macook and used hair dryer and towers. my speaker was broken I kept rotating it and used hair dryer and reboot system now I can hear what you saying. I've tested all keyboards fine. but my speaker was kinda buzzing so I played very loud music now its all fine. but the touch pannel above keyboard is not so sensitive as before. Im not taking about mouse pannle. mayby I should use rice?
