Maurice you are awesome! Thank you so much for sharing these. I have been using a specific pencil with my drill and was such a pain. This looks much better!

You are all kinds of awesome! Thanks so much for creating these 3d printer files. I was just saying that I'm running out of bobbins... LOL - I guess no more...

Love it! I've been using the Bobbins Up storage bobbins, but I find that the drill bit piece that goes into the bobbin breaks when I reach the end of the bobbin and don't stop the drill in time. Now if I can find someone to print some for me! Thanks, and I'm looking forward to my nano 2!

Is it possible to add a collar on one end for a brake band when the bobbin is used on a lazy kate?

Thanks for the feedback! I added bobbinGroove file to the files on Printable. This connects like the drill bit, but on the other side of the bobbin. This allows you to have a little pulley on one of the bobbin disks. One use is putting these storage bobbins on a Lazy Kate with a brake system. You can either make one of these bobbinGroove attachments and switch between bobbins, or perhaps a better solution is to make one for each bobbin and then glue it to a bobbin disk so that it never comes off.

@@DreamingRobotsBlog That is exciting! Thank you for the quick response. I used to buy Bobbins Up storage bobbins but they have retired. Thanks for filling a much needed demand.

Love the storage bobbin drill adapter idea. My local library can print the bobbins and adapters, but they must estimate the cost based upon the number of grams each item uses. I cannot find those amounts in the download files; could you please direct me to the amounts of material needed for each? Thanks

They should be able to give you that number based on the printer settings they are using. This number varies greatly based on infill and support settings they use. So I can't give that number.

I don't know anything about 3D printers. Do you have any brand or model recommendations for someone completely new to it?
@DreamingRobotsBlog

I don't really know enough about them to recommend a brand. I just use one as a tool, but there are forums or reviews online that could help you. If you just want to order printed parts, I explain how to do that here: www.dreamingrobots.com/eew-3d-printed-parts/

Community colleges and libraries often have a "Makers Lab" with 3D printers and provide support for newbies.
