All my free 3D printable files for various fiber tools are at: www.printables...
I'll release more details about the drum carder prototype in a future video.
The printers in this video are the Prusa i3 MK3S and Prusa XL. These are pricier printers, but the printers are reliable tools that require less setup than some other printers. Also Prusa releases a lot of open source software and I like supporting companies that do that.

Exiting! As I just sold my first electric carder (72 tpi single licker in Duncan) after upgrading to a Pat Greene with dual licker inners and much finer carding cloth. Massive difference in how the motor of the Duncan was a break on the drum when stopped and the Pat Greene turns freely after stopping the motor which in turn makes it much easier to take off roving with a diz. Can't wait to see what you'll come up with

My ears just grew like chia pets at the word "drum carder" lol I've been trying to convert my pat green debs deluxe classic into and electric one but it's been a pain. Motors just don't have enough torque it seems lol

I have a wish list Also a question is it possible to creating a stitch counter for knitting wherein as you knit each stitch the counter would log or count the stitch?

While a stich counter like that is possible, it would probably require custom needles, an attachment to your needs, or some camera. All these options are pretty difficult and not something I am likely to do anytime soon, but I will add this to my list. It would be a fun project that could use machine learning which is pretty popular right now. I just don't see a way to make counting perfect because sometimes people will miss a stitch. Even if it's 99% accurate that isn't nearly good enough.
