@thousandoaks.2080that’s too many levels to operate on at once. Good way to get a fusion asap.. I’d avoid the surgery if you can still walk and function mostly normal, of course you will be limited with things like exercise, but back surgery is serious. I had a L4,5 L5S1 laminectomy, the scar on my back is about 4 inches long, didn’t even fix my pain, just saved me from being crippled.

Truly appreciates all the informations you shared on your You Tube❤. It gave me time to learn more about it. I also tried all your non- surgical recommendations first, as well as, helped me decide when to consider surgery. I recently had a successful L3,4,5 & S1 ALIF with an amazing neurosurgeon & his medical team from South OC CA. and on way to healing. Thank you so much and continues God’s Blessings on your knowledge & expertise, and your generosity to share and educate people like me who has spinal medical conditions too.

At what point is surgery considered??? Right now my mri indicates I have severe foraminal stenosis on my left C4 C5 and I’m feeling radiating pain that goes down to my arms as well as pins and needles sensations from time to time. Mri indicates there are bulging disc that are pressing against the thecal sac. In addition to that I also have narrowing in my lumbar with 6mm and 8mm disc extrusions that are also pressing against the thecal sac affecting nerve roots. My Lumbar symptoms are similar to my neck sharp back pain that radiates down to my legs and bottom of my feet that causes pain and pins and needles sensations from time to time. I’ve had steroid injections in my neck a yr ago and a RFA in my neck a yr ago that was effective. However this time around the RFA which I had in my neck a month ago wasn’t as effective and now I’m going to get another steroid injection in my neck on Sept 16th. My Lumbar I’ve had steroid injections in the past and did traction with a chiropractor seemed to help for awhile now the pain has returned. My question is when would surgery be considered??? Does the bulging disc have to be causing spinal cord compression to even consider surgery?

@@DonnallySpineConsult DDD stenosis bastrups herniation and bludges. I am being told unless I have leg issues or bladder they wont operated due to failed back surgery syndrome despite severe intractable pain. They say their is no nerve impingement now herniation has receded. If I lay on my back my thighs go numb that seems to me that would be sign of needing ortho surgery? Really don’t want a pain pump, my scs has been nothing but problems.

Total laminectomy for decompression of the spinal canal is a outdated procedure. Single-sided hemi- laminotomy to remove bilateral ligamentum flavum and spurs with preservation of spinal process and interspinous ligament yields better result because of least destruction of spine structures. Concur ?

Hey there, I do about 15 new patient telemedicines💻🌎 every week. Here is the best path forward: 1- email your insurance card to Spine@TSCspine.com (We don’t take HMOs or Medicaid, but can private pay, unless Medicaid) 2- if we take that insurance THEN upload your images to my portal for our 1st visit. 3- I must have X-rays and MRI, X-rays are critical! “Just” MRI isn’t enough. Need to be from last 12 months. Nothing older is needed, or wanted. 4- You need to get your CD 💿 of your X-ray and MRI (imaging centers will never send them to us) 5- On the top of my website (www.DonnallySpine.com) is the link to UPLOAD images, from YOUR HOME! 🤯🥰 (or at a CVS with Physician LookUp Code k5037438) 6- To recap: email us, get CDs, THEN upload! Step by step: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HpKOfI_1FSs.html - If HMO you can reach out to a Patient Navigator at www.sonoSpineSurgery.com and they can try to help connect us! @@DonnallySpineConsult is surgery (fusion I'm assuming) successful in younger males that want to remain extremely active? I'm 35. I have no pain down the legs. Just a sharp pain at the location of the vertebrae that has slipped forward. When I hang from a pull up bar, it pops right back in place. But then slips again moments later.

1.. always take someone along to your appointment 2. Talk up. If you don't understand, say so. Or your MD will think you understood. 3. Have your nurse explain it all to your level. 4. You are in pain, maybe on pain medication 💊. It will affect your understanding. 5. Blessings for someone to help you get better.
