Excellent video on spinnerbaits. One of my go-to lures for sure. I love inline spinners, but when there's more vegetation around this becomes a better choice for me.

In all honesty, I fish more inline spinners than I do spinnerbaits, but some of the hardest bites I've ever had came on a Johnson Beetle Spin and a small spinner bait that I can't remember the brand (Colorado blade, though). Nice video and underwater footage.

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ru-vid.comUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

I have a Strike King midnight spinnerbait that came with a black Colorado blade and black skirt with red fleck. I've had it for over 15 years, and I just recently replaced the skirt. It has caught the majority of my fish over those years. I'm in PA, and generally prefer darker baits. I've caught bass on bluegill colors, and only once with a white spinnerbait. But that could just be because of my preference for dark baits, as I always start with my go-to. Happy fishing!

Love these, occasionally you'll point out a brand or 2 that you use/like but I didn't catch any in this video. Could you give some recommendations?

Biggest bass I ever caught (12lbs) was on a mini strike king spinner bait and ultra-light tackle. I have been a fan ever since.

Another good tip is too spread the wire frame apart thatll keep the willow blade from hitting the nose

I've never used a trailer bait, good to know to just try out. Spinner bait is probably my favorite goto, I've caught probably every species in my local lake on them except a cat fish, and carp. I feel like a cat fish will probably hit it eventually.

1/4 ounce gold willow blade whte black gold fleck... shallow 8 inches to 16 inches along bank ive gotten some giants 3lbs 4 lbs at night slammin.. mornings i may go all black or white with trailer

I use a Black spinnerbait on dark days or low light.....think contrast/silhoette.
