You're watching the ESL SC2 Masters: Spring 2024 Regionals, broadcasted from April 10th to May 5th
After an epic conclusion of the Winter season in Atlanta with the French Terran Clem winning his first ever major offline title, the circuit continues with the Spring season and 64 best players from around the world playing in three global regions - Europe, Americas and Asia - with a $150,000 combined prize pool. 16 winners of these Regionals will earn the slots in the offline finals to be held in Dallas on May 31st - June 2nd to fight for $100,000 and the Esports World Cup qualification.

I love Maxy Paxy with all my heart. But i can't call him best Protoss until he wins a LAN. Or at least a major tournament

Yeah, i feel the same for sure. Awesome player. But it is a very different thing to win the bigger tournament, as well as performing on stage.

That's the take I find most disgusting in SC2. It's not up to the protoss player, people don't win premier events vs the top Zs or Ts. Check Premier events on teamliquid and look at what faction won each. Protoss don't win big events. There was a 6 year period where the only big-ish event Protoss won the was smaller "super" tournaments. Every single WCS and GSL was won by Z or T. Trap played out of his mind for years and still didn't win any of the biggest events back then. He outplayed Maru hard and lost to Rouge iirc. Rouge even admitted Rouge wasn;t practising, was going to stop playing but heard Zerg was overpowered and felt Trap deserved the win. Etc etc.

@@Paddythelaad I don't have to look it up. I too am a Toss fan and have been since WoL. But the fact is Hero won a GSL recently which is why he wears the crown of best toss and not MaxPax. And on top of that MaxPax refuses to go to Lans at all. Which I understand. Guy is a a super young kid maybe he isn't ready. But you don't get ranked over Hero who has a recent GSL victory.

Look as only about 2-3 terrans on the planet can reliably take down maxpax with speed, Cure Clem and Byun. Spirit played a blinder still all the same, top 4 and UB finals is still great.

Max Pax best Protoss, maybe best SC2 player. Him, Serral, Maru or Clem.
