Charles, I think you raise an interesting point. I tend to think a Christian can not be fully possessed. But there is a soulish part of us that must be continuously renewed and transformed more into His likeness. That is where we allow the enemy to have a stronghold.

I see your point but we have to remember "Where" Gal 2:20 happened and that is in our Spirit where we are one with the Spirit 1 Cor 6:17. I believe we can be possessed in our soul where our mind, will and emotions are. But this possession is not a "take over" possession but more like a squatter. The demon does not own us like a non believer is owned and their father is the father of lies.

Hi. I have been born again for years. The first 20 I was tormented and in mental health care for severe spiritual issues. I was delivered and set free because of my walk w God prayer inner healing and deliverance. Demons must be kicked out starved prayed out fasted out etc. I coukd write 10 books about this reality. I am on no medicatiin for 20 yrs now but during those years had to desperately seek God for healing and deliverance.

Blessings to you Charles. I don't know if you'll receive this message as your post was from two years ago. I am an ordained minister and have witnessed at least one church member being delivered who was a Christian. The Christian walk is a journey and she was asked to be an elder. She was currently a deacon but was resisting the call as elder because that meant she had to pray for people during worship at the altar and there was someone in the congregation she "hated" and knew that she could not pray for them if they came up to the altar. I spent about 3 months with her in soaking prayer for about an hour to 3 hours each week. The last time I had to pray for her, she was convulsing and shrieked as the evil spirit was set free from her. I did not pray for deliverance as she had come to me because every bone in her body hurt. Once the spirit of captivity and anger left her, she was slain in the spirit and unable to move. I believe God did not want her to resist the healing presence of what just happened. I stayed in the room with her for over an hour as she tried to get up, but could not. When God released her, she was a changed woman. Now she was ready to accept becoming an elder and had let go of the anger and hatred she had for another church member. It was incredible! On another note, I am so thankful I came upon this website. I have studied Francis' books on healing and have done conferences with the Order of St. Luke. What a joy to hear about Judith's work in the healing ministry. This was meant to be.

Hello Kim. I pray you've experienced more peace and healing in Christ since you've last commented. Christian healing ministries is a wonderful help. However, your personal prayers, forgiving others and yourself, reading and believing God's promises to you is something you can start now, and that'll bring true freedom. Please renew your mind with the loving Word of Jesus Christ by reading the gospels. Write down His promises, pray and trust Him. Bless you!

Darla, I have had the privilege of walking with the Lord for 40 years. God used the willingness of Judith, who cared enough to share with me about Jesus Love for me to reveal his self to me.. To address her sharing as a Charismatic soap box comes across as judgmental and disrespectful and I doubt you meant that to be the case, I felt a desire to respond because I know first hand a different version. If you disagree and you are secure in your opinion it is understandable, but let me share with you that my personal experience is quite the opposite and I know from my walk that- yes there is a baptism in the Holy Spirit, and while i do not personally view that one has to have the gift of speaking in tongues as a validation of the Holy Spirit I sure appreciate the gift that God freely gave me. I deeply appreciate Judith and Francis for being willing to share their personal experiences with the living God with myself and others over the last 40 years. . Thank you for reading this, I have never before written on any of these sites it just seemed I should share with you my experience. If I can share with you a teaching by Robert Morris on THE GOD I NEVER KNEW. I think you might find it very interesting.

Did you read her husband's book, Healing? It will be a good starting point. I am not Catholic, I am a Charasmatic Protestant, but his book was enlighting.

Jesus said 'My sheep know My voice', It's the Fathers will that you hear Him. Just like anything else the more you practice listening for Him the more you will learn to hear Him.

I appreciate Your honest question, so let me help You. In Christ we have the Holy Spirit who is revealing Christ to us, as Paul was desiring to know, even as we desire to know......for those who are seeking Him 'diligently.'. To 'hear God' seems like it's hard because we can't tell what is us and what is Him. Like Eddie Irvine says, Jesus' sheep know His voice because they only listen to Him. Many listen to anybody and everybody, even as I did, but we must listen to Jesus, no matter who is talking. This comes with prayer and the renewing of Your mind with His words and teachings. The Old Testament will open up much of what He taught in the Gospels as well, since He was speaking from the same Spirit. Also know that the Spirit of Christ, and of God who is Spirit is above and among all other things.....HOLY, separate to God, which is why Paul said that our minds and our flesh/body is at 'enmity' with God's Spirit, who is in You. That being the case You will begin to know very clearly what is of You, because it will probably be at odds with God's merciful, loving and Holy Spirit. God gathers to Himself, while the adversary divides. Do not strive and do not be a part of the divisive ones, they are in rebellion to God. You have been born again in Christ, not in flesh, but in Spirit, and as a 'child' of His Spirit You have a new 'Father', so the things of this world and the way You once learned are to be put off to learn what Your Father is now teaching to You, which will not be like the things of this world but rather more like the things of the Kingdom of Heaven, which is why Jesus said, first thing we must do is 'seek the Kingdom of Heaven' and 'His righteousness', and Paul says we should read the old scriptures because they are 'good for righteousness' (aka 'renewing the mind'), and know that we receive the Spirit so that we too, like Christ Jesus, do the 'works of righteousness'(which is simply to Love God & to love others as Christ loved us.....unto death), which is from above and is higher than the works of this world. Jesus exposed much of this in His sermon on the mount, which all really comes from the old testament, like David's writings (Psalm 34-38), who understood the Law and loved it (Psalm 119). God is represented by His Goodness, which is often reinterpreted by the self righteous religious, by the lost, by the new agers, by (you name it)...….but when You actually read His words, ask Him, seek Him and knock on the door of heaven, then He will answer You, You will find what You are looking for.....'if You seek Him like a hidden treasure' (how would You go about finding a hidden treasure? do that then)……..and the door of heaven will be opened up to You. This is all part of a relationship with Jesus and God and the Holy Spirit and it takes time to hear Him and recognize Him. You need to know that Jesus' words and God's words are 'instructions' not just theology or interesting stories. 'He who has ears to hear' in Hebrew and Greek is a reference to a person who 'obeys' in english, but one who hears the instructions and does what he just heard, even as Jesus said. The less voices You allow to talk to You, the less opportunities the adversary has to misguide You. Remember God is speaking 'instructions'...not just teachings. You have the Word of God, read it, ask, seek, knock....pray and pursue Him and You will have what You are asking about to such a great degree that others will see it but will need You to help them understand. Also know this, when You are seeking Christ like this, He will reveal Himself to You, and You will see things many others do not, mostly because of 'biblical interpretations' but don't let this allow You to be misled yourself. 'Knowledge puffs up but love edifies'....and love is represented as the gifts of the Spirit, as they too 'edify.' Be patient with all people, everyone has as much understanding as they were willing to gather......just like the manna....and 'he who gathers much will not have too much'.....in fact You will be able to feast on Him all day long. Some only gather little, but they are not able to feast on Him....they just get a snack that is supposed to last them all day. May God's voice be made clear to You and may You pursue Him with vigor while You have the opportunity in this life to do so :) Peace.

The primary way of discerning God's voice and your own thoughts is becoming acquainted with the Word of God. God's voice will match His Word.

I recommend in my 40 year healing ministry, to do both, pray for deliverance and get proper secular mental health assistance.
