You can make this with an air fix or revell model , I build models with motorised propellers ,navigation lights , cockpit lights and synchronised sound start up and run ,controlled with arduino uno or nano boards and seeing this with movement of the wings can be easily done ,a project I will do next and no it won’t cost me over a grand ,all parts required will be less than £100 , it’s a no brainier 😉
Do u have measurements for this model?. :fuselage length?wingspan? & diameter of 3 propellor blades? The reason im asking is to check if it will fit into my display cabinet. Also how many weekly parts are there? 20? Or more?
120, 100 for the Spitifre, the last 20 are diorama parts. so it the best part of a Grand for the spitfire, and £1200 give or take a £10 tenner for all of it.
@@johnhaley6489 It's not an Airfix model. It's a specialised kit, you can't buy the same sort of kit from Airfix or Revell. IE it's prepainted with sound and it's special stand!!
@@Tonys-Hobby-Room In other words, you start and your great grand kids finish. 😀 Hopefully the company will remain in business long enough for them to complete the build. Otherwise, instead of a Spitfire, they'll be stuck with a Shitfire.
I have one comment to make, Let's say, because i know i only got to part 8, because my nerves, the only problem i had with this model, is when the motor will go because the motor is all encased in, with super glue, you would have to strip it back to the beginning, because some out there who is building this glorious model, will get to know when the motor will burn out, im not jealous just because i had to pack in after issue 8, i only packed up after my GP, S advised me,
@@HachettePartworksLtd would you be able to deliver the entire package to a friend in London once I had paid him and he had paid you - or directly to you and then he would ship it for me to SA
Hi both, Thanks for your interest in the collection! After a successful trial run at the end of last year, I'm happy to announce that this collection is launching nationally in the UK and ROI tomorrow (12th February). Check out the website here for more information and to subscribe: www.spitfiremodel.com/
I was quite interested in this - until I worked out how much it costs. If you get the whole 120 issues it's the best part of £1,200 for a model plane that doesn't even fly!
And, if they dont get enough subscribers, they may well discontinue half way through. Subscribers to the Aston Martin found that out, and also the Lancaster B1 so I heard. You're far better off investing in one of the Corgi 1:32nd Spitfires.
Hi there, No comments are deleted or hidden on our channel. I can see you commented on the features video from the test launch; this video was recently deleted to avoid any confusion with the new national launch video.
@@legosupermariomaker2139 I'm much more concerned about the blade of the 2nd prop clockwise to his hand, appearing to lag while adjusting the pitch. And is that pitch within the tolerances of a pre 1944 bird?
Don't get conned, they said the Terminator were die cast and its mostly plastic, £1500 worth of plastic, No customer support what's so ever, watch for the small print or you will be paying for extras, binders etc
Hello, The die-cast parts of this build are the propeller, parts of the engine, the fuselage and the top side of the main wings. There will be some plastic parts to allow for finer detail! Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience with our customer service team. We've just moved to a new customer service house earlier this year, so we hope you see an improvement in that regard.
@@HachettePartworksLtd He says you’re conmen! Of what improvement are you talking about? Of course he’ll have a bad experience once more; nobody likes to be fleeced of 1200 pounds!
it's ok if your a true brit proud of kicking the germans arses yet again and have plenty of money - i can't wait to build mine , and don't forget the free gifts that money can't buy , bye - LOL
Does everybody realize, you have to subscribe to the magazine, and each month they send you a small bit of the model, lol, should only take about 20 years and 2000£ later to get it complete. 😂
@@goldenmanuever1176 Sure, that _sleuth_ may not be making any revelations to you if you're already familiar with what partwork subscription is, but that doesn't change the fact that the business model is inherently ripe for deception and exploitation. Tell me that it isn't.
