For many species in the animal kingdom, spitting and stinging is a vital tool for self-defense and in the pursuit of prey. In Arctic waters, the walrus depends on its ability to spit in order to feed. The cobra projects its venomous saliva to blind its predators. Spitting provides the jawfish with a home - and a means to defend it. Putting their lives on the line, bees will use stings to attack any threat to their colony. Jellyfish trawl their stingers through the world’s oceans to subdue prey and ward off predators. The echidna is constantly protected by their densely packed, needle-like armor of spines. The Stingray’s powerful, barbed tail and potent venom is the stuff of legends, and the carnivorous centipede is granted access to a wide range of prey thanks to its paralyzing sting. Animal Armory brings us yet another fascinating episode - taking a closer look at these mighty instruments of destruction and the animals that wield them with such precision. "Wow, I just finished watching "Spits & Stings ," and I'm blown away by the fantastic animal armory and breathtaking sights of these creatures surviving in the most hostile locations on earth. The documentary does an excellent job of highlighting the difficulties and threats that these animals must deal with on a daily basis, and their resiliency and adaptation are quite astounding. The film team deserves praise for obtaining such wonderful imagery and showcasing the variety and beauty of our planet's ranges. Anyone who enjoy adventure films should definitely check this out."

@@wendywaldren2343I've been addicted to animal documentaries since I was 5 yrs old watching Marlin Perkins and Jacques Cousteau on TV every Sunday evening. And anything on PBS related to this. I'm 61 now and still watch this stuff. When BBC made their World series, it was some of the best photography ever. They even did a documentary about the photographers themselves and the extremes they went to get the perfect shot
The documentaries on this channel are second to none. I watch them on hours and at least 2 days a week. Unhealthy i know but the pandemic led to my over viewing habit. That being said im gonna do 3 days this week.
Кто бы это ни читал, вас любят. Ты благославлен. Ваши мечты проявляются, пока мы говорим. Время на твоей стороне. Все получится в вашу пользу. Желаю вам больше любви, мира и благополучия.
Brilliant show. Makes me feel really homesick for Australia. Covers several animals, except the one that "eats roots and leaves." Okay, it's an oldie - but still a goodie... :-)
@@amandastakeonit7402 G/day Amanda, Nice of you to reach out. I'm a Queensland guy, Brisbane & Gold Coast. I married a Swiss lady who wanted to be here. You can guess who won that debate!!! :-) Yep, so we're here in Switzerland...
Awesome Documentary Well Narrated about The Defense Mechanism of ANIMAL KINGDOM❤ which has evolved over the years with the Premise SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST❤
Nature happens but I’m not ashamed to admit I got choked up over the lioness who was mortally injured. The thought of the pain and despair she was in just hurts🙂
Of all the snakes in the world the King Cobra has to be the most elegant, fearsome & dignified of all snakes. It truly is a regal creature & deserves a healthy respect for what it is & how it uses it's venom to survive. If we never caused it any harm or destroyed it's habitat we'd never see a King Cobra & certainly never encounter a King Cobra, as we're of zero interest to this royal creature.
” ... the bee's greatest asset is their ability to co-operate." - Can this be said of Mankind? Despite the pressing, impending and intimidating dangers and catastrophic consequences of Climate Change, has Man learnt the art of cooperation for the common good?
Yea in Korea (co-rea) they are doing the whole bee thing!! Everyone doing the same thing all for the benefit of “Korea” and “Kim goying” just like the bees! I think I’ll stick to America and do my own thing lol I’m more of a wolf! Lone wolf with a pup :)
