It’s too bad for the Leafs, but the big advantage that the Pens had was they were able to sign Crosby to a 12-year Deal before the CBA was limited to a max of 8 (for own club) nowadays. The ultimate role model in professional sports. Not LeBron James, not Stephen Curry. Sidney Crosby. He sure is a down to earth guy. He's not cocky and sucking up the spotlight. I think that's why even as great as he is, he doesn't get as much credit as he deserves. I mean you could argue he's the g.o.a.t. because he's mastered every aspect of the game in the toughest era to do it with how well trained everyone is now.

He's done quite a lot for the image of the city of Indy, he started a non profit for underprivileged kids (not just athletes like Brady), and made rather large donations to the victims of Hurricane Katrina and a children's hospital in Indy. Please tell me what Brady has done besides the foundation for underprivileged athletes? Nothing. Not a damn thing. But maybe most of all...he's a fucking Trump supporter.🤮

The simple fact you brought that to backup your "because I disagree with you" bs excuse proves it.

That was awesome. Feel like I’ve watched every Crosby interview, so it’s amazing having a new interview, and one as casual as this was. Got to hear a lot of new stories and very real and raw. Loved it thanks for doing this, and congrats on another amazing year Sid can’t wait to watch this year, Edmonton Pittsburgh game is my new fave. Watching the two top players in the league face off, nothing like it!

This was an awesome listen. Sidney Crosby is my favorite player not on my favorite team the Habs. He’s very humble even with how much success he has and how talented he is. It’s super cool to hear these stories as we don’t usually get to hear these type of stories from him. He mentionned the shoulder injury to Malkin. I was at that game, pre season game here in Moncton New Brunswick. Sid’s an all-time great and still amazing in 2022.

Never liked Sydney Crosby (red wings fan here). But after this interview, I admit I judged him wrong. He seems like a genuinely great dude. Not conceited and ego centric (like Alex Ovechkin). Just a humble champion. Earned my respect.

Aaron Deaton Ovechkin is a fucking legend. Doesn’t walk around with private security to keep him safe and out of sight. Wins the cup and literally celebrates with the fans. Not by riding on a float thru the city but by running the streets of DC. Both 2 different guys and I respect both but ovi shows personality. Something many nhlers don’t seem to have on the ice

This never gets old. I love sid, he's such a classy, personable human being and a great ambassador for the NHL, not to mention an inspiration. Also, we must give credit to the Chiclets squad for getting Sid to open up the way he does on this podcast. The Spittin' Chiclets podcast gives us a new, more personal look into these guys' lives that wasn't previously accessible. Great for the NHL, great for the sport of hockey and great for the fans. Everybody wins. Keep doing your thing guys!
