Splake Trout and Brook Trout Comparison Video
In this new informational episode of The Average Joes Fishing Show, Brendan sits down to discuss a hot topic that has recently come to our attention online the last couple of weeks. This is the difference between Brook Trout and Splake Trout.
After receiving dozens of comments across our social platforms following our first ice Splake fishing video, I decided that it was time to put the controversy to rest and explain to everyone the key differences between these two species of fish. Although very similar, there are some key differences between both the splake and brookie. Watch as I explain the 5 physical differences that will help you to identify these two species apart from each other, as well as a couple other differences and similarities between the two.
