You know, according to the lore, the tune of "Calamari Inkantation" has existed since the first Inklings. So any lyrics people write can be cannon because it could be the different versions of the song different Inkling civilizations wrote to the melody.

I love that this actually gives the song logical lyrics, instead of trying to transcribe the Inkling "speech" into English the way many Splatoon covers do. Seriously, there are still people who call this song "Fuel the Melody".

When hearing this song in the usual Inkling language, I always thought it was such an epic final boss fight theme. And now hearing this, hearing it in English for some reason brings emotional feelings to me. This song is definitely my favorite! Nicely done!

I found this a few days before Splatoon 3 come out and I LOVE IT. This made me think how much the squid sisters have come. From singing a song to free their enemy’s to stoping a bear from destroying the world, it’s an amazing story. Also I find it a bit weird that in every game, cuttle fish needs help in one way or another. Again, I loved this song.

Oh my gosh I like this. It's just so bouncy. Tex and Atwas go so well together. I don't know much bout splatoon, but it def has some nice music, if this and octavio are anything to go by. Didn't know what to expect going into it, but it was a pleasant surprise. And a nice pick me up.

This is just absolutely amazing. The videos that try to make the lyrics sound almost exactly like the words that the Inklings sing just kill me, cuz, like, did those people even read what they wrote? Thank you so much for making this. It's probably one of my favorite songs to sing now.

Oh my God I love this SO much and I'm adding it to my running playlist, it has such great energy! It has a real... vocaloid vibe to it, I guess? Which is really interesting since obviously you guys don't sound like vocaloids, so this mostly makes me think of various vocaloid cover artists like JubyPhonic. Which is great, because I absolutely adore a good vocaloid cover. Atwas and Tex's voices work together SO WELL and the lyrics flow so well with the rhythm of the song. Also Alex's "where are MAH BEATS!" just makes me grin, mostly because his voice is so recognizable to me at this point. I have already replayed this multiple times, ah, it makes me so happy.

Fun Fact: Their names aren't always Callie and Marie. That's just what we call them because haha, such pun. They were originally called Aori and Hotaru, but other countries give them different food related names. Pretty wild.

This video is what introduced me into splatoon years ago, finally playing with the 2020 special demo. Nice to revisit after the end of the grand festival, was on team present but past gave it there all and won.

So this comment is extremely late but that's because I've been avoiding watching this because I thought you would try to interpret inklish into the lyrics. You are one of the only people I've seen who doesn't do that. Every word of the video's description bring me joy because it is a HUGE pet peeve to see people doing that. The inklings only have like three or four voice clips which seem intended to sound like English expressions. "Come and get me" is a thing the girl can say randomly, "Thank you!" in splatoon 2 when buying something from crusty sean, and maybe "Ready!" when a boy lands from a super jump.

I actually got worried that things would spiral downhill in that fight because ithe fight itself was difficult and the lyrics were meant to distract you or make you upset. But then, Octavio's raps end and this song makes its way to the speakers, instantly filling you with hope and energy as you battle for the fate of Inkopolis. This song coming after Octavio's just fits perfectly. Thank you for making these videos. It means a lot to many people.
