For those of you wondering this game is harder than you think. There's actually a bit of RNG in the game that isn't directly shown. Sometimes a boss will be easy other times it will be a huge pain.

I was addicted to this game as a kid. I even remember the password to the final boss level with the best ending. It's PHENIX.

i used to have nightmares because of the headless enemies 😂 but other than that this game brings me a lot of memories as a kid

Thank you so much for this no comment walkthrouth. Calm wander and mere walk is very nice to see to remember the good old times. Oh, my, I was a fan of this: had created a map with all the treasures [hearts, powers, books], and all the doors to find the best strategy. Firstly I had a japanese version, and I didn't even know there was such a super kick in US. So, when I possessed US version, and played it - I discovered that a level can be skipped in 1 level... I was so amazed, and so impressed! But no matter how hard I tried the next levels I could not repeat the result. Only when the emulators became available I could do this. It was a game I like to play after watching 'Evil dead' series having a couple of beer cans =)

I love the derpy harmless teddy bear... Then it's head comes off and well...that escalated quickly.

Wow how repulsive of the creature feasting on the corpses in the area at 7:57 a more updated reimagined version of that creature in today's modern graphics would make it more terrifying than he seemed back in that generation. Way more creepier than the zombie encounter in Resident Evil one devouring the dead soldier. I mean all of dismembered corpses as he is having his buffet terrifyingly disgusting 😩

Fun-Fact Splatterhouse was released just a year after the release of "The Mask" Comic which later got a family friendly jim carey movie adaptation.

I remember playing this on Sega Genesis Game 🎮 System When I Was a Lil ' Shawty Back in The 90s.

Anyone else find it weird that even though the final boss is supposed to be the mask, Rick is still wearing the mask during the fight?
