I like that broader face on each of the backstops on this larger model. You can definitely tell the action is much more quick and responsive after some usage. Congratulations on the new place with a wood burner in it! We love burning and when we built our new home, that was an absolute must and was thought about from the very beginning. This splitter did incredibly well on that gnarly wood. Good to see the frame doesn't tweak and flex with that much pressure on the knife. Very nice!
it's great but at 5'30", the wooden log with knots can be split with a splitter on the mini excavator. I split some with mine (4203 on hyundai R55-9) which I couldn't manage to cut with a chainsaw because of too large a diameter and with many knots.
Thanks for your comment! Yes he meant to say skid steer machine. The two-way knife machines will also have an easier time splitting tough wood when compared to the wider four-way knives. Stay tuned for the next video, where we take a 4290 to split that exact piece.
Hi@@jakebredthauer5100 . Dual action, double action, bi-directional, dual split, two direction and two-way are all used to describe the action that our log splitters use. While some can be confusing to use (especially when talking about our knife setups), they have been the terms that people use to find our products online. Discontinuing one or another would make the grammar more correct, but we could loose sales from it. We appreciate your thoughts!
