Very impressive!! You know these guys make quality machines with the way that shop is clean. Keep up with technology for sure. Great job enjoyed the video
Good question. That plate is manufactured for and directed at the rental industry. It is our attempt at keeping people from jamming the wood chipper as soon as they begin using it. Chipping a 4" branch does require a bit of experience with the machine, but once you are familiar with it, it is very easy to do.
My 4406 30” stroke works great. I got tired of wrestling the big guys even with a big log splitter with a lift, box wedge and return arm. It’s still a pain to move 2-3’ diameter stuff around. This paired with a faster smaller splitter works great and my body appreciates it lol.
You would have to reach out to Taskpower NZ. They are our distributer down under. Currently they do not ship any down, but they might if they get an interested party.
Can the shoot be switched to the other side? For example, if I towed the unit behind my side by side … could I chip directly into the bed of my sxs? Or does it only face one way (back)?
Unfortunately this machines chute is fixed in its position. However, the 4003 does have the capability to shoot sideways but it does require a tractor to run.
For a pole saw, I prefer electric too! You can do lots of work with one of those and I use it so infrequently, it is much better to not have a 2 stroke engine sitting there hardly used.
It could! As long as you used it with a PTO kit. If you need more info on specs and compatibility please give our office a call and our sales team will be able to verify that.
@SplitFireSalesInc my friend is a super nice guy and extremely knowledgeable on tools. So if he likes how your splitters look, they have to be of fairly good quality.
Just purchased a 2265 splitter from Allan Johnston Sales here in Metcalfe, Ontario. Great service from Allan and looking forward to get the splitter up to my camp and split some wood. Beautiful machine, great to be able to support a Canadian manufacturer. Cheers
Yes it was fast forwarded. I placed a timestamp in the top corner before I sped the clip up. Feel free to compare that timestamp to the videos time on the control bar. Most people would just skip over 4+ mins of splitting in the middle, now its a bit visually pleasing at least.
No, we do not offer a foot pedal option on most of our machines as they do not meet our safety standards. Our newest 1165V will have an alternative option in the future
Unfortunately we don't always have the time to split the entire pile so we selectively choose our splits to showcase the sheer power and ease of use of the machines.
Up to 18" oak rounds can be split on this machine, same with Elm, as long as you're not trying to split directly in the centre of the piece, it will do the job. Its a surprising little splitter that will get the job done.
Own one! I was expecting a superb machine but my expactions is a lot more than filled! The size, power, productivity, ease of use and a lot less demanding on human power... work hours without fatigue. And customer service of that company is amazing!
Thats fantastic to hear, thanks for sharing your experience with us. We'd love to have it on our google review page if you don't mind just leaving this comment there? g.page/r/CaNs7viRQRMLEBM/review Thanks so much for choosing Split-Fire
I've sent numerous 30" oak rounds through my 2265 and its never let me down. Understanding the grain pattern of the piece you are trying to split helps a ton.
Splitfire are excellent made log splitters!!! Tips and tricks like this is just another way Splitfire proves that your company actually cares even after the sale of your log splitters.
Those strong log lifts are the best! We’ve split some massive hickory rounds with our 3265 that I would not be able to wrestle up onto a splitter without.
5 second cycle time with electric and that tiny footprint in garage space is really hard to beat. But the sound of the splitter is not something I can get past. Not trying to be negative, I really love this setup.
True, the motor whine isn't exactly the most soothing sound but it can be overcome with a set of ear muffs, shop music or even wireless headphones. Happy splittin' !!
Once we have the wheel caster option for sale, it will be extremely simple. Currently its a bit tougher to move by hand but still very maneuverable on solid groud, gravel is a bit tricky as the stones can cause impediment on the actual rolling itself.
I'd still get the gasoline version. Can't wait to see the foot pedal option and how it works. If I was starting over in firewood, the value of the 1165V is hard to beat. Some of the tree service rounds that I have to split probably weighs as much as this splitter.
Both motorized alternatives gas and electric offer their own pros/cons. We feel there is a significant amount of people out there that still want an electric option for their homes and have something of a silent split action in their garage or workshops.
We were absolutely thrilled with how well it handled the amp usage when splitting really tough wood. Definitely, it wont be everyones primary option to split this way but, in a pinch this will handle a lot of splitting at a very low operating cost.
I absolutely love the electric splitter option! That could also be run with one of the very popular solar battery banks and used in an off grid type scenario as well. I love gas stuff but electric surely has a place as well. For year lineman would drill holes in poles with 2 stroke drills, now they use an 18V impact and drill away with no struggles at all! I also would love a machine like that for use indoors when the weather is less than fantastic.
Yeah, we wish we had a solar bank for the video cause we wanted to show more electric power supplies but we feel we met the mark on this one by showcasing a hybrid and full EV. We're gonna see how they fair in the shop with a couple Makita batteries and maybe make a quick video on that in the near future?
I enjoyed your overview, but wish to point out, early on you stressed safety, and you wore no eye protection or gloves to keep from getting splinters. I always do both. Certainly it is quiet enough you need no hearing protection. I like your tip, concerning one person operation!
That is the future plan to get more processing equipment into our line up. Unfortunately our shop is too small currently to facilitate a production of that sort (for now).
Can that run on a dead mans foot switch? so you don't have to hear that motor whining all the time? (just when your doing actual splitting...) I run a tiny $200 mini electric log splitter like that. - - Makes it really nice being quiet all that other time your gathering wood, etc. Looks great! Best, --J.Andre. / Old Iron Acres
@@SplitFireSalesInc If you're looking for an example of it... I have a video on it. It's called "$220 started the Wood Project and, a Green House?? -- Wood Meets Iron (Part 2 of 2)" (@ 2:15) - - And I'd be happy to beta test and make videos on any versions if you want outside feedback!!! Love your stuff!! Best, --J.Andre. / Old Iron Acres
